My first real grow, I have a 400watt HPS/MH light that i use 85% of the time and 2- 24 watt T5 6400k cfl that are always on. the issue is that its a closet grow that has little ventilation so with the door shut the HPS light is too hot. So when im gone and the door is closed i use the 2 cfls that produce little heat and is adequate light and when im home i use the hps/mh that she loves.
The background about the life of this plant is that i vegged for a month and then flowered. however after about a 10 days in flower i made a mistake and left the hps/mh light on with the door shut for two days and almost killed the plant, it was badly shriveled and dry (I wish I took a picture). i didnt want to just toss her so i topped her and revegged for over another month mainly only using the cfls. she actually came right back to life i was shocked! During flower i thought for sure that she would hermie due to the stress from a near death experience, but again i was shocked.
i thought the buds did look alittle on the small side but i thought that was because i topped it, do you guys think they will get bigger in the next 2 weeks??? overall they are looking beautiful and very frosty... ive been keeping my eye on the trichs and theres a mix of translucent and cloudy so i know she needs more time. A friend of mine told me that if i squeeze the buds that they will swell up, has anyone heard of this? im a little scared to try but if it works ill do it.
