i feel not a single one of us would be here today if our ancestors did not kill and eat animals.


i can see what gk is saying and it cost a great deal more for me to raise the animals i eat however they are treated with love and respect while they are here. I dont know how i can love my pets and then have other animals i love but would not call pets. My hubby loves pig but we could never have one here that was killed because they are my favorite animal? Now i can raise a chicken and i really love my chickens, people think im weird but they are so sweet? I have no answer but gk's question got me thinking

I think if any of you guys had someone they love on deathrow, your views may change a bit. For you to suggest that your loved one should be murdered by someone, regardless if it is the government or a stranger, well lets just say your heart will break just as it will from watching the news and seeing some prick had set a dog on fire for fun.

You are correct, they have and they deserve to sit in prison for the rest of their lives becuase of it. But that is not my point. My point is, even tho they deserve to sit in prison does not mean the ones they love want them out of their lives forever. If you kill someone on death row, his mother, father, sons and daughters will hurt just as bad as the family of the victim of who the inmate may have killed.
Because the government says its ok doesnt make it hurt any less.

Unless we heal society as a whole murderers and the likes will always exist in numbers.
There is something wrong with human nature.
Everything is all about crime and punishment.
This is not how it was supposed to be.
The apple is rotten from the core.
Locking loony toons,and psychopaths up and basically abusing them for revenge may seem great to you but in essence you have created your own circular never ending problem

it is truly insane...

especially in war areas or war times.. can you imagine being in iraq... as a soldier or a citizen... the pain that ripples through the landscape...

i have no answer either..

BUT it is important to be honest with ourselves... VERY FEW PEOPLE CAN DO THIS...

they have defensive mechanism up that defend their behavior.. its ok to do things that are wrong.. have compassion for yourself and your fellow beings..

it is ok to enjoy a steak,, shit,, an animal died for ME.. might as well enjoy it. BUT maybe it is not necessary to have leather shoes.. or maybe, since I can afford cage free organic eggs.. i should support hat sort of treatment for animals....

it is important to know or at least make the effort to become aware that other creatures have just as much right to live as we do.

THEY die so we can exist.. we should try and lighten the load and lesson the pressure we put on these other creatures while we search for a solution...

I don't know if men were suppose to or not suppose to eat meat...

I do strongly suspect that when I eat...plants, meat or anything besides POON, other BEINGS are losing their time on earth at my hands... for my existence...


I am putting my existence before theirs... that's not how I like to roll.. i prefer to put others before me... it is my dilemma.. it is something I watch..
