Hi Veggie Gardener:

I thought this stuff was powder mildew but this stuff eats the plant away. Can you advise on what this is and how to kill it? I wipied it off on by 9 footer and it didn't come back but it sure ate up the stem. I thought it was powder midlew so I sprayed it with baking soda and water. It's only been two days since I did that though so I don't know if it's had an effect or not.

Thanks for letting me know.

Have a good day.

Agreed.

Do a little reading on the colloidal silver, but you definitely want to stop that stuff.

If it continues showing up, you'll just need to harvest.

That's directly related to your humidity.

VG, I have been doing a bit of reading and research and can not find anything definitive on the effects of temporary below freezing temperatures on pot. From everything I have read an adult plant can tolerate a temporary nighttime temperature below freezing. But what effect does this temporary freezing temp have on the trichomes? Do they break and fall off reducing the potency of the plant? Or do they too tolerate freezing temps?

I am fairly positive my grow will be ready for harvest before the first freezing temperatures in my area. But I just like being prepared for the worst case scenario.

GREAT PICTURES!!!!!! Very nice.

Question 11. Is potency mostly a factor of heredity?

Question 12. I am stoned and forgot what your favorite color is.............Red? :)

Question 13. How much weed do you smoke in a year? :)

Question 14. What IS the best way to 'do' weed.......joint, pipe, bong, eat, tea. etc. ?

Raining hard here, off grid, losing Sat. connection.......................... night all!!!!!

Cannabis doesn't like frost. Sometimes you get lucky, and the plant recovers almost completely.

I tell people to look at the plants as soon as they "thaw" and assess damage. If the sun leaves are watery looking, go ahead and harvest, then. The plant is done ripening. If it survived, it would expend all its energy trying to repair the damage.

An inverted bucket with an incandescent light under it will keep a large plant warm enough to prevent damage, set underneath the canopy.

11) Yes.

12) Paisley.

13) Quite a bit.

14) I've tried most ways that don't involve tobacco. I use edibles all day long, and use a glass pipe in the afternoon and evening.

For many years, my favorite color was burgundy.

Over the last seven years, I've taken several pictures of Cannabis much like this one.

I love the blue-green displayed in this picture.

I've seen marvelous colors in my garden.

She sure looks happy, Nice shot.

Got a question for ya, Your Afghani Kush with the mites, I have never seen them gather like that at the tip of the leaf.
Have you been spraying something that made them do that?

Two days prior to that photograph, I released 2000 ladybugs in that greenhouse. I hadn't sprayed Azamax for a week, prior.

I get some spider mites each year, but predators usually keep them in check. This year has been very bad for all the little suckers.

Anyway, I try not to freak out when I see them, taking measures as needed.

Gathering at the top of a plant is a sign that the plant has all the spider mites it can support. There also might be a breeding factor involved, or possible wind born migration.

I appreciate them gathering in tight balls. They mash very nicely.

I went back to the same khola, today. There were still some mites, but only a tiny fraction of the day before. I hammered them with Azamax.

Luckily mites is one of the few things I haven't had to deal with this year. Lots of issues with animal predation, grasshoppers, aphids and with all the butterflies in my grow I have been hyper-vigilant in keeping Bt on my ladies as a preventative. But no mites. Growing weed is just a little bit more difficult than "common knowledge" indicates, isn't it?

Hey VG, should I try to bring my basket inside to let her finish off since the temps are gonna get into the 30s tonight? My preference is to just cover her and let her grow for another week or so. Don't know how much safe growing I have left outside. Supposed to be in the low 70s this week. Any insight for me. Thanks.

The East greenhouse. The Trainwreck is getting very dense. The Bubbleberry x White Widow is getting very dense but is still about a month from finish.

The cage. Not much different than the last pictures but definitely ripening faster than expected.

The West greenhouse is packed, this year. The last picture is a shot from underneath the Bubbleberry X. I have an extra fan blowing up into the canopy to keep moisture from collecting.

Hey VG, your weed is trying to escape your yard. Might need to take a broom to it and try to beat it back into its kennel. :)

Seriously, nice looking plants. Completely jealous of your grow and wish I had the opportunity to continue growing outdoors, but the anxiety level alone for me in this grow has made it something I just will not do going forward. So, I will have to go inside and grow my plants small under artificial lighting. :(

If it isn't worth the stress, I would do the same.

I still want a strain that can shade my house in the summer.

The Chronix has potential!
