Is it possible to successfully push the exhaust through a shower drain? Has anybody tried it? I cant find much info on the web.
There is always bubbles when I take a bath!sure u could
it would have to be at an incline or u would have to make some kind of p-trap with the vent tubing
also there may be bubbles when someone takes a bath
the true definition of a bubble bathThere is always bubbles when I take a bath!LOL
yup, designed not to let air pass thru.im no plumber, but from what i've seen, all drains have that small S shape in them, it holds water and prevents sewer stink from coming up your drain. So, you would have to push the air through this water, which would really hurt flow, and if it pushed enough water through, maybe the sewer gas would get in and stink... i think it explodes too? but i'm not a plumber... just doesn't sound like the best idea.
that small s thing is usually located at the start of the drain,so it should not be close to thatim no plumber, but from what i've seen, all drains have that small S shape in them, it holds water and prevents sewer stink from coming up your drain. Huh? What's a cleaning cap? Do you disconnect the p-trap and connect a hose?.As it stands I am a plumber and I'm getting into your area of expertise and I can say with confidence that ur drain pipe would be excellent. The best thing to do would be to find a cleaning cap somewhere nearby and hook up ur vent pipe. This solves ur problem of smell.....obviously lol, plus there is no trap after ur cleaning so there would be no obstructions for air flow. Keep on mind though as I have been growing for about a year I found a 4 inch pipe would clear a room about 10 ft by 10 ft. Any bigger and a carbon filter would be best. Hope this helps. It sure helps me!!!
