Just finished out a few Salmon Creek Big Buds I got and wasnt impressed by the yield at all. Very surprising results to me.:o Quality looks good. Doesnt smell very string even while growing. Buds are good sized just not bigger then others I have next to them. I have Fruity Chronic that has larger buds, Agent Orange atlesat as big, Ice same thing. Now I did switch them prety small and they ended up about 18 inches tall like the rest of my plants. do some need more veg to really shine ?

Some plants do better when vegged for over a month. Some, it actually decreases the yield. Plants like NL#5 and blueberry grow the best when topped after 3 weeks and vegged for a total of 6. You can achieve truly sick yields like half a pound per plant if you do it right.

I grew Salmon Creek last year and the most I got was just shy of 2 OZ .I started with 12 plants, 2 were male and yanked, & 1 was ahermie.

Well the small indoors stink but my few outdoor ones have HUGE colas on them. Maybe 3 feet tall and I bet each will yield at least 1/4 pound.

salmon creek is kinda rare .. resides in nor cal , washington , oregon , and primarily canada . its old hippy weed but extremely good .if I'm correct , its only truly available in
clone form others may be knock offs but true salmon creek is delightful .

Yes that is the one. First time in 5 years of growing I came across anyone with clones of it. Had some finish indoors and the quailty was very very good. Seems this one needs better veg time to give the great yields it is known for. My outdoor ones went out late and not very big but have really big fat and LONG colas on them. Was going to ditch this strain after its poor performance indoors now I am not sure. I have only one sad little clone left but might keep it going just to do again outdoors next year. Also it is VERY VERY hard to clone. Guy I got the cuts from took him almost two months to get them for me. Even in clone machine they can take a month to get any roots at all.

anyone?????
I'm doing salmon creek BB right now, shit is legit. Out of 24 strains it ranks 2nd in yield only behind triple afghani. What I'm really surprised about is the quality of it. It looks/smells fantastic! I was just growing it to cook with, but now I'm keeping those buds.

I've got 8 of them, all 6-12 foot trees. I chopping them in a week or two. I'll try and remember to post yield results.

Maybe you've got some environmental conditions or just planted them too late. But they are MUCH better than I expected.

Yours were from clone? I didnt think they could get that tall. THe outdoor ones I have look great with giant buds for the size of the plant. I just cant get them to grow good at all indoors, atleast not as small plants in SOG which is how I grow.

Nope. Seeds.

Actual salmon creek is clone only. Seeds would most likely be Big Bud which is what Salmon Creek comes from.

Unless you know people near salmon creek who do big outdoor seed crops every year ;)
Are you sure its Salmon Creek and not regular Big Bud ? I have just never heard of anyone being able to get seeds for this particular pheno type. IF my salmon Creek plant went hermie lets say and it seeded itself the plants grown from the seeds would be Big Bud seeds with a few Salmon Creek "like" plants possibly mixed in. Salmon Creek Big Bud is just Big Bud but a very special pheno type of it. So as far as I can tell you cant grow Salmon Creek Big Bud from seed. Yes you might get some pheno types from your seeds thatm are simlilar but 99% will be regular Big Bud plants if that makes sense.
