So my light meter just arrived in the mail so naturally I dashed down to the grow room and started measuring the lux of everything in sight
using a ruler held in place I found that the light drops off MUCH quicker from the ends of the hood (the short sides) than the sides.
Also, when measured 18" from the long side of the light my lux readings were 150,000 higher on the side the grow area that is directly adjacent to a mylar sheet. So based on my understanding of the relationship between lux and lumens, that is roughly 13,940 more lumens produced by the mylar!!
So yeah, I just had to hang a sheet of panda up there and see the difference between the panda and mylar... Mylar resulted in 4,600more lumens over the panda film.
think its time to hang a sheet of mylar from the ceiling.
