I keep mine 6" to 8" above the canopy with my 120w and 4" to 6" with my 90w's. These heights give me decent coverage for 4 to 6 plants at a time running the 120w and two 90w's at the same time. Last run with 4 topped and super-cropped white widows pulled 186 grams (6.5oz) dry, plenty for my personal use. Canopy management is the key from what I have experienced with LED's.How far away to you keep your LED light away from the top of your plants?
Keep an eye on my current grow (in signature); I'm 2 days from switching the lights to 12/12, running 810w LED and 400w HPS together. The plants look strong so far, I see big potential this round. Maybe I can get you on the LED band-wagonEveryone should have their own area of experts to refer to, I am personally waiting to see someone with some serious results from L.E.D and as soon as I think its better than my T5HO's, metal halide and HPS I will be jumping on the efficient lighting wagon. Utilities are outrageous, but quality and quantity come first. I use liquid cooled HPS to keep the heat out of the room, L.E.D's create no heat only the ballast does so that is a definitive advantage
The potency pretty much comes from the genetics of the plant. And I'm not sure if it affects the time of flowering i never flowered with anything else but LED.With leD is that very potent and faster growing?
I heard that led is not as hot for mj plants
