1000watt Headband and ATF Grow LST, w/ lots of pics!!

So here are the last pics of veg!!
the middle one is going to veg. for another week or so! Just isnt full yet!!!

I cant wait to put in flower on Sunday! installing my new Fan on Sat. and going to run 1 cycle before i put plants in so i can get my temps throughout the night!! I got three clones off of the headband from the understory of the plant.

Plan on taking more clones in a weeks or two want some time to grow under that 1000w.

Its cool to take maybe 3 clones per plant about a week or 2 into flowering? I remember reading it somewhere jsut want to make sure lol.

Plants are looking great! You should be fine taking clones a week into flowering, but why not take some now?
 
Im planning to top my plant too so I've been reading and apparently you should give the plant a week of veg time after u top

Cool dude thanks for the info. I plan on start flowering on sunday, im not going to top them just do to i took a bunch of clones off a couple of days ago, and already have like 15-20 tops per plant and there is a bunch of ones that are only a 1 inch long that im not counting so im sure they will progress under that 1000watt as more good colas!!

But thats all it my perfect world hope my dreams come true lol Thanks for the advice though i do appreciate it ++ rep for u sir
 
So i decided to put them under the 1000watt HPS in the flowering room.

I have the light 36in above the light and plan on moving the light down 3 to 5 inches every light cycle until i hit 18in so the plants can get use to the heat and light.

The times im running the light is from 8:30PM to 8:30AM i believe this is the best time to run where i live.

Tonight was a very hot night at 7:15pm is was completely dark and still about 96F

So i ran the light for a while and with my fans started at 630pm and the temp were way to high, It was like 104F with the light as high as it could go. So i waited with this thing running until it came to about 90F that was 830pm and put the plants in.

There first 12hr dark cycle will start at 830AM on 10/3/2010.

I think my temps are a little to high but tonight was a really hot one and my room tends to run a little hot.

I have pretty good airflow - 6in fan for exhaust hooked to cool tube rated at 450CFM, with a 6inch booster fan on the passive 6in intake, I also have a 16in Wall Mounted Fan and that 10inch tornado fan on the ground it moves a lot of good air.

With the size of my room it exchanges total air in about 40sec. give or take a few.

Well i think thats it the outside air is just really hot tonight i think thats all it is, it should be getting cooler soon i felt a couple rain drops when i just went outside!!!
 
Hey, your flower room has almost the same dimensions as mine. A little tricky, long and thin. 1000 watts for three plants, that should get the job done lol. Nice grow.
 
Hey hotphyre, I am wondering about "stretch" when LST'ing. I am interested to see how much stretch you get on your plants when you switch them to flower. Also did you top all your tops before you switched them to flower? I was planing on waiting a couple of weeks on my LST and top all the new tops poking up.

Well i didnt top i guess but i did cut about 4 clones per plant and somewhat topped i guess just more than 1 node lol. But besides that no i didnt i counted at least 15 tops per plant right now but there is a bunch that were small before so hopefully they stretch through!

Are you getting alot of stretch yet? My upright plants were stretching over an in a day at first. I am just wondering if I should top and switch my plants to flower already. Thanks for the info.

Well after being under the 1000watt hps for about 20 hours than its has 12hours of Darkness, well howie ill take some pics when the light come on lol!! its not 830pm yet lol.

Ok sorry I didn't catch when you thew them into flowering. Sorry bout that. I had good luck with a 24 hr dark period before switching them to flower. Anyway bro no need for pic's just an update on stretch after the first week would be cool and what your plants did durring that period. Thanks bro I am going to go do some reading.

Well sounds good what temp were you getting in your grow room like max temps

Just seems mine is running a little hot lol, trying to figure out a way to cool it down a couple of degrees!!

I might be taking some mylar down i have 2 walls that are painted white behind it so it should be ok but goign to run another night and see how is goes!!
 
So hotphyre...you know that you got the 707 strain right? the og x master x sour D? And I know this because I have grown them both and I can tell by your leaves thats the 707... the Original Deisel/Headband/Daywrecker has much more hybrid-like leaves.

My room goes down to about 60-65 at night and at the hotest get to about 85. Most of the time it is around 75-80 all day long.
 
you must have cooler temps around you yesterday was clear at about 100f today overcast about 93f, the only air i have to cool is outside air cant wait for winter time!

Im trying to think of a wall A/c install but dont know about cost's yet to run this old machine i got. Might just wait and hold out!!
