such a noob moment for me... I did that the other day just thinking about what you said, Gumball, on bottom water feeding. I'll poor a little water in the pan tonight... wont take long then all the water is dry as a bone in the pan. soil sucks it right up.Good catch billcollector, I never noticed or thought to ask if you had drainage.
Great to hear from ya CW. Yeah, because of the outside ambient temps in the shed, you may not need much in the way of exhaust, just need enough to create some circulation. Only concern I would have in that respect is humidity. I feel like mine is lower than desired because of the intense exhaust system I rigged. I would prefer about 50% and I sit around 41% with the cool humidifier outside mt passive intake. yours being outside in the winter is generally very dry air. You may look into getting a gauge for humidity and think about ways to increase the humidity is need be. Just a thought from a beginner. You'll likely get some really sound advice from the RIU community. Gumball has been babysitting me along with Billcollector and SmellyTreez.. Great community here.Totally Subbed man. I too am starting my first grow, i built a 46"w x 38"h x 24"d I am growing in a shed in the winter so I only have one 55cfm fan for exhaust and small intake hole. I used a bath light bar and made a homemade hood with reflector that houses 12 lights with the y adapters. I will also add side lights for flowers. I too ordered from attitude i got feminized ak-48 and master kush from Nirvana. Some where a little beat up in each package but im hopeful. Im growing three of each and a bagseed from some blueberry norther lights mix, im calling it blue lights. I germed them and put them in 1/2 and 1/2 ocean forest and light warrior so now i just wait and see. Love your setup and cant wait to see this one. BTW is your wife cool with this or is this stealth, i have kids and wife too and she's so ignorant about pot so mine is stealth more from the wife even then LEO. Good Luck
Just these two... I gave up on the other two. I learned my lesson on the starter cups (two main issues I see there, drowned the seedlings in a no drainage cup and the excess moisture probably release more nutrients than they needed at the seedling stage - just my guess). I am going to improve on that next time. These two are showing great signs of growth and are likely rooting well. They are also genetically tough enough to withstand the punishment I gave them at the seedling stage. Darwin would be proud of these two guys. These I will move to my 1 gallon smart pots next phase (in a week or so depending on the root needs).Don't discount the deformed one yet, they surprise ya. How many do you have now?
I had some young plants look just like that, everything will be good, don't worry. This one I think looks good...

Bob, thank you for stopping by. Yes, this is all too exciting for me. If you haven't already, you should look back at some of the historical posts to see a video of my redsign of my grow box. that actual interior dimensions are:Yo Easy...i started germination a week or so before you...my first grow too but I haven't created a box or setup like yours...I've just been trying to understand/learn the stages of development and see how it goes for others before I go all out and buy seed. So I started bag seed which looks amazing...but who knows how they will turn out (3 total, 1- 3 weeks old and 2- 1 week).
Have them under CFLs right (2x 26w @ 6500k daylight bulb) but i assume ill need more shortly.
I dont suppose you could upload a dimension plan for your grow, I like its design and might emulate ya in future (itd be easier w plans lol).
Excited to be able to exchange talk on similar age babies. Good luck, subscribed.

Yes, I'll simply take the plant with the attached soil and set into my 1 gallon bucket and surround it with more soil and let it continue. That's when I start the LST or should I start that sooner? I already have a plan on how I will do it... using yarn.Yep, I say once you see a good deal of roots through the clear cup go ahead and transplant. They help hold the soil together.
Thanks for the knowledge CCM. Much appreciated.hey easy love the little diy growbox i used cfl's for my first grow and then moved to hps done a few grows with it but im now back with cfl's lol they rock!
with the lst i would let them get to around 4 nodes and then just yank them over and tie them down, dont be shy whilst pulling them over they really are tough
Mine are bag seed, so I have no clue what they are. my two remaining plants are in day 9 of soil. I have updated photos later today or tomorrow. thanks for stopping bylooks like our plants are about the same age, what are you growing again? Mine are so much happier playing in the dirt. I think I am going to LST mine. The 4 white russians are fem seeds. the others are bagseed and afghani. so much fun tho!
