I do believe that the humidity level will be extremely low because of the central air conditioning unit I mentioned and will dry the stuff well before the recommended week to ten days, although 5 days is also acceptable. I am thinking that the chlorophyll is not going to adequately escape before it goes into jars for curing; due to the low humidity levels it will dry too fast, because a/c sucks most of the moisture out of the air. Which will leave my dope bone dry and make for a hay smell and harsh smoke, or so everyone says.
listen once you put it in a jar even if its been drying for a couple weeks and is falling apart in your hands, after a 24 hours in the jar the moister will be back and the real curing process begins, just burp the jar once every 24 hours, i do it all the time. in fact i am doing it right now.
my dad grows commercial and he does all of his drying in 2 houses that have been converted to drying houses and they are dark with the A/C pumping.
now there has been times when my dad needs to turn over a drying house faster and he turns the heat on and it speeds the drying up, or one time b4 we got everything cut down b4 the rain came and alot of the colas were soaking wet so he turned the heat on to speed the process up to help avoid mold,
i have been at a medical indoor grow in Oakland upstairs inside a cannabis club and there drying room has they had the AC on nice and cool, i do not know the temp but it was very cool in there and as soon as you open the door to this drying room the AC kicked on again. but then again i ve seen people up here in these mountains just hang the plants in the woods (in the shade) usually because they have no ware to dry 10,000 plants.
