Nute Burn Question+Pics

Quick specs
Strain: Motivation Day 42 flower
Ph: 5.8
PPM: Currently 550
Nutes: General Hydroponics, Lucas Formula
Medium: 5gl Bucket dwc

So i got this motivation up to 1050 ppm's, it started showing nute burn the following day so i bumped it down to 550 ppm's. That was 3 days ago, since then the nute burn has seemed to get alittle worse.. How should i handle this situation? Keep it at 550 for a few more days, or should i bring it down to straight RO water?

Looks like a Phosphorus deficiency, maybe with some calcium def as well- pics would need to be closer to say with more certainty. If the tip damage was from burn and not the deficiency, you may have burned them somewhat with N and/or K and not provided enough P. Bone Meal has P and calcium. Make into a Ph-adjusted tea for quickest results.

sure its all burn? When in doubt, I make new nutes and refer back to my old ppm records. A lot of times Ive headed off problems in the past by adding 15ml per gallon of earth juice microblast on fresh batches. I think my biggest problem is manganese. Anyhow, flush flush flush for a day, and then regroup.

Well I think it might have a slight pho defficiency but not to bad, that second pic kinda show's it.. But i think overall its mostly nute burn because it didnt burn till i bumped it from 900-1050.

This is my first time growing this strain so i dont have any previous notes.. I did take a clone for next though so i will be prepared..

you may want to look at how your mixing your nutes to i see a little lockout issue. I would flush for a day and then start a new nute regimine. Take your time when mixing nutes i generally wait 5 min between adding the next nute to my mix with a stiring pump and airstone going at all imes in my res and my soil nute container.

At 7m and 14b, that means you're using a zero ppm base water, correct? I work with a sensitive strain too and a 7m 10b split really shouldn't give you any issues.
Yeah im using RO water.. So after this flush i should give them nutes at 7ml/gallon of micro and 10ml/gallon of bloom?

Well i always add micro to my water first then bloom second.. I thought i was doing it right and have never had any other problems.. She is at 300 ppm's right now, im going to let that go for today and maybe tomorrow then i will re add all the nutes giving time in between..

wow, 1100 for light nutes? I like to keep mine at 800ppm in the meat of flower. Of course thats on the nacl scale. maybe your using the other scale? If I mix my nutes up to 1100 on nacl, it burns the hell outta them. I think my nute company uses the other measurement, cuz getting it to the ppms they ask, both takes more than it should, and burns the ladies. Are you using any calmag? Ive heard that some times its hard to get enuff of those. My tap waters got it, so sry I cant give ya any first hand knowledge. BEst of luck, keep us posted.....curious now to see ya fix the problem.

1100ppm at the heaviest point of feeding for my lighter feeding strain. My meter is a .7 conversation if that makes sense? I'm new to ppm and I have just gone by mls in the past and read my plants as best I could.

Yeah, that should only put you at 950ppm. I veg plants at that rate so you should definitely be fine there. Even my light feeding strain has no issues at 1100ppm.
Thanks i appreciate that.. Tomorrow im going to re-add back nutes and try to get it to the 950 range, I can say that is one nice thing about hyro is if you over feed its 10 times easier to fix then with soil..

I use the Naci scale to and have been able to get them up to about 1200 ppm's without burning them.. Well on my last grow i did atleast, i guess every strain is different though..

Thanks for the help chitown, ill def add some calcium to it and see how that works.. Would cal mag be the best option, or is there anything else i can add in the meantime, something available at a local store?

I generally only have to adjust my ph once a week or so, I adjust it to 5.7 and it drifts up to 6.0 after a week.. Should maybe i let it drift up higher, like 6.1-6.3?

Floramicro is already giving you plenty of calcium. Adding more would probably just interfere with your magnesium uptake.
