hey everybody!!! i have anxiety that lasts throughout the day and i would love to hear anyones opinion on a strain that would soften up the anxiety to almost nothing?
thanks!
thanks!
hindu kush i can say is really good but it is incredibly euphoric and can make you way too happy and people will be like damn that guy is way too happy
wow! great info dude i will definately look into that! thanks and + rep!this debate has gone on in a couple of threads ..... best to be more specific about what's causing the anxiety, or what the anxiety is about. Like the poster above said, Hindu kush is euphoric, and happy. While happy isn't a bad thing at all.. euphoria ( a very loose term) may not be what your looking for. Euphoria in the sense you become disoriented could be anxiety producing in itself...
I'm looking for the perfect anti-anxiety strain.. but FOR ME ... I don't think this has anything to do with indica, sativa, or the cannabanoid content. I've recently tried a strain recommended for anxiety, but it's onset was SO EUPHORIC ..that it induced anxiety for the first 15 minutes.
I've had an almost pure sativa with clean, clear, happy high that produced no anxiety at all.
point being .... your best finding out from either your personal experience, and other reviews ....
But top strains i've heard are
Strawberry Cough
Hindu Kush
most indicas
Strains that have had a great effect were
Jacks Cleaner
Chrystal
Cream Caramel
... I'm beginning to think that clear headed sativas work best for my type of panic and anxiety.... having said that. I wonder if Subcool named it Jacks Cleaner for the clarity of the high.
sativas don't work for me at all and make me very anxious, i find them to be almost hallucinogenic sometimes, true that euphoria could make you panic if it's too much but for me, hindu kush has no ceiling at all but it never makes me panic ever. I had some strong sativa and every time I would get panicky to the point of paranoia so I gave it all to someone who liked it and won't bother with that again, but the breeder said it was good for anxiety haha, not mine. It was mandala ganesh btw.
i agree totally that most sativas aren't the best choice for anxiety. I don't like being extremely tripped out, heart racing, sweaty onset kinda high either... but it's all about what works for the individual i think. I DO have to try some Hindu Kush. I've heard alot of good things about it for anxiety. i'll make it a point to grab a bean when time comes.I know that very sativa plants like Durban, Haze and other very pure sativas will definitely be too euphoric for me and will increase anciety rather than calm me down. For stuff like that i would choose an indica plant to calm down everything.
i agree with ya. indica is the answer for me too. but i can see if i had a less severe case of it how sativa could helpSativas do not work for my anxiety, in fact, it can cause the onset of an attack. I prefer heavy couch lock indicas.
hey Brimi -I think it's just a matter if you want an "up high" or "down high". Most indica dominant strains will have down high and most sativa strains will have up high. If you harvest early high will be more "up" harvest late, when you see amber colors on trichomes will give a more "down high". I don't believe it's a matter of strains - more like a matter of canabinoids. A sativa that is harvested very late will be a more mellow high and less racey. So what i'm trying to say is, that there are just so many thousands of strains and people, that finding the perfect strain for you and your anxiety is a matter of experimenting. As you can read - some want sativas and other reccommend indicas. I would think that for anciety indica would be best, since i believe that the very "up high" from a sativa can make the anciety worse. My 2 cents ;O))
