Yeah, just got a part-time job so I'll be able to afford to finish it here soon. That mylar has fallen and instead of putting it back up I think I'm gonna just put up some poly. The way you closed your closet off made me want to do the same for my cabinet.

yeah that stuff is cheap as hell, too. $1.15 at the local hydro store for a 1'x10' piece. I just got a 10'x10' and cut it up and added the zippers myself. Cost about $30 total to make the "tent". And I'm a lot happier with it than my first real store bought tent, which was a tiny ass Hydrohut that let in/out tons of light.

Sorry I'm not familiar with CMF? What is it? I scanned that guy's journal and it just looked like an scrog setup What am I missing? He definitely had a good setup going though, I love seeing the branches and shoots all spread out like that.

strange how i've never seen or heard of this type of bulb with all my time exploring RIU. maybe its just because so many people use the digital ballasts now that these types of grows aren't done much anymore? i don't know, either way it seems like a really legit option if the deal with my new ballast doesn't go through.

Yeah I know, I just stumbled across a couple threads with people using them and haven't had anything negative to say about them. I like how they can be used throughout the whole grow.

Just a quick update. I've been gettin dicked around by this dude who was supposed to sell me a magnetic ballast, so I have not yet put the 600 on them. Still rockin 5 CFLs. Despite the lack of light, they seem to all be doing good. All but the purple dojo have rooted around a foot and a half down into the water. I don't know if its the lack of light or what, but this thing is taking forever to get a solid root back going. All the soil plants are thriving though, and everything has grown at least a couple inches in the past three days. I think once I FINALLY get the 600 on them, they're gonna start booming. Sadly I gotta plan to harvest sometime bfore december 20th though due to a scheduled vacation, so I think I might just induce flowering 12/12 time on the 16th to hopefully get them done before then. Anyone have experience with the strains I'm growing? The guy who sold them to me said the Black Domina should be done in about 55-60 days, but didn't give too much info on the other strains.

Yeah I am but I don't know if I have the appropriate tools to make a ballast. Would I need a solder gun to be connecting wires and such? I'd almost rather pay more just to be sure that I'm not gonna burn down my house from faulty wiring or something.

Here are the three in pots. I really wish I had gotten more of the Black Domina. Seems to be growing that fastest and healthiest of the bunch. It stands about 6". Its the one on the right. the bottom left is hawaiian and the top one is the white rhino x grapefruit.

This Purple Doja isn't growing roots for shit. I'm not gonna lie either, I think some of the roots on the other plants are turning slightly brown, mainly toward the top of the root ball. Is this due to air touching them or something? There is only like 6-8" of water in my res. right now so probably 12 inches of root is exposed to air. Each plant has a water spout going directly to it though that is constantly on. Perhaps overwatering? Doesn't appear that way though. ahh i feel like when I get my 600 in here these will shoot up and all will be well. I got a feeling these will only be about 8" when I flower, which kinda sucks, but oh well.

One question for you guys though. Do you think I should put a light dose of nutes in the res? Like an 1/8th of the recommended dose. I think I am going to take the purple doja out and put it in soil. It's possible its just too far from the lights, but I really wanna give the other girls some Grow Big. I think I might hold off on the soil plants though because I've heard Ocean Forest is good for about the first 30 days without any added nutes. What do you guys think?

Cheesin...your gonna need more room brah for that many plants!!! I started in a 2'x4'x6' area with three and one took control and filled it up. Check out what I got goin now when you get a minute.

If that plant has roots out the bottom I would give it 1/4 Strength nutes. I ran 1/4 strength for the first two weeks and 1/2 strength for the next three weeks. Make sure you got lotz of bubbles and add 50ml of Hydrogen Proxide per gallon to keep them roots happy. My DWC gro thread is getting long but it's got good advice from good people. I'm new and this is my first gro too. Just put my plants into the bloom phase a couple days ago.

what's up budd? thanks for the input. I just checked out what you got going on with your grow there. looking really good! unfortunately I'm not going to be able to veg my plants nearly as long as you did. Did I see 40 days? that's pretty damn long, wish i could do that. yeah, sadly these will be flipped to 12/12 on the 16th I think. They are only about 5"-7" tall. Yours was 24"?? haha wow. My first time I did DWC in a tent I grew Super Lemon Haze. Holy shit! I let them grow until the biggest was about 20". After two weeks into flowers every single one of my six was into the light and I was out of room. Learned my lesson about flowering when they are a bit shorter, esp. with that strain. Tonight I'm gonna give them 1/4 strength nutes though. You think the one that just barely has roots coming out will survive though? I was going to put it in soil though just in case. Anyway, I can tell by your grow that you've done your homework, I'll be subbing for the rest of it. peace.

Looks like it will make it. Get it on them nutes and it should be good. What do you got for air stones and pump??? The more bubbles the better!!! I got a Hydrofarm 7.8 LPH pump and 2 Oxy Stones from HydroHeaven out the door for $17. Lotz of bubbles.

I have that exact same pump actually. For stones, I have two 4 inch disks and two 6 inch regular rectangular stones. I tried to put all 4 in the res. using T-splitters but then only the two rectangular ones work. Then I tried putting just the two round ones in and only one is spitting out bubbles. What are you running with this pump?
