Ripping my Iolite Vaporizer

Hi everyone. I purchased my IOLite yesterday. So far I have not had a good experience with it. I do not get a real hit of vapor, just a thin almost non-existent trace of what must be vapor. I have tried grinding the plant material up fine and lightly packing it in.....no vapor, just warm air. I returned the unit and got a replacement but I still can't get a hit. Please help! I want this iolite to work.

realize that the vapor will feel like almost nothing at all going in. if you are looking for clouds on your exhale you may be dissapointed. you probably need to wait for it to heat up. i like to leave my herb out for a day or so to get it really dry. grind it really fine, pack it semi-lightly. turn it on and wait for about 5 minutes. your first few pulls off of it won't get you a really thick hit, but after that it gives you great vapor hits for at least an hour on that one chamber full.

I tried warming it up for over an hour last night, still only warm air. My stash is a little green, but it should work ok in a vaporizer(right?). My Vapor Brothers vape gives me good, big hits from the same stash. I was hoping that the iolite would produce a similar experience. What else can i try to do to get vapor from my iolite?

seems wierd. are you sure the gas is full. an hour is way too long. you could have emptied the gas tank. green/moist herb doesn't vape as well as good dry herb. you are able to run other vaporizers at a higher temp, which makes vaping faster. strange you're having trouble. ive pretty much stopped using anything else but the iolite.

Just did a fast dry and then filled the chamber with the dry material. No go, no vapor just hot air. Put some of the stuff in my VB vape and got good strong hits. How tightly do you pack the bowl of the iolite?

just until it is full. no real packing.

how many pulls of hot air do you take before you turn it off?
if it is sitting there on, with a full herb chamber, do you smell the smell of vaporized herb coming out of the mouth piece?

I have 2 Iolite's now, and my new favorite thing to do is to load them both at the smae time with different strains and use them together. When they are both fully heated up, and i hit them at the same time I blow out thick clouds of vapor that almost look like a bong-hit exhale. Not to mention the fact that you get wrecked..

right now my black Iolite has AK-48
the yellow one has SourDiesel

I recently purchased this iolite and at first was quite disappointed. After reading reviews on this and attempting various times I learned that I wait about 3 min after heating it up and then another minute or two after I have put the chamber on. It doesnt get me crazy ripped like smoking, but I feel that this high takes away my pain more than smoking did (though I have gotten pretty messed up with a full chamber packed in). I am a patient but I also do MMA and work out quite a bit, and it feels like my lungs are cleaner lately and more forgiving. Also like others say it can be used in public, not immature like but just chilling, and noone seems to really care.

mixing strains is great.. did you see my post about using 2 iolites?

putting a different flavor in each is awesome. you get HUGE hits of thick vapor. it almost feels like you are smoking a hookah.

favorite flavor combos:
trainwreck & headband
sourdiesel & ak48
bluemystic & sensistar

after sitting for an hour with 2 iolites stoned doesn't really sum up the level you get to...

MY GOD! Pot can hinder you enough to become DUI. Your crazy for smoking anything while driving, your a user and an abuser. Im not the one to criticize anyone BUT this is coming from a guy with children that worries about people like that.

whatever.. im a better driver than 99% of the people on the road when im nicely toasted. that probably includes you. I own my own business and drive about 1000+ miles a week.

all the unbiased studies that have been done show that cannabis does not hinder driving ability in any major way. especially to a heavy regular medical user. if it weren't for herb I wouldn't get anything done. I too am a father, a business owner, and an all around productive member of society. Worry about your own shit.. and watch what you call abuse when speaking of the safest medicinal herb, or any drug for that matter known to mankind.

More like the toking judge eh...?
