Male and female plants

how far apart should male and female plants be kept apart when growing outdoors?

Male plants should be on the compost heap.

Male plants should be on the compost heap.

This is true, as the wind will pick up the male spores and spread them everywhere making it very difficult to keep them from pollinating the females.

It's really up to you, but I wouldn't risk it.
