Well I MIGHT have to leave for the weekend.....not quite sure yet.....

If I did have to leave....would it be better to keep them under the lights for the 3 days I would be gone (Fri PM - Mon AM) or in the darkness?

My plants have been flowering for about 2 weeks......

I know this really isn't suggested at all.....but I don't have any other options other than to abort 100%........

Well I have 6 sets of lights plugging into a surge protector...are there timers that will allow for that many watts + the extra prong for a ground?

I'm using 8 26w and 4 23w CFLs

just go to walmart and get a $15 grounded timer. they are plastic and usually in the area of cfls, tube fluro bulbs, dimmers, lamp repair kits and the such.

I tend to lean towards a timer that can handle the outdoors just to get some extra heavy dutiness. I think if you select one that is heavy duty and grounded, I think you will be ok. I prefer to stay away from the ones that are used to turn your coffee table lamp on, which are usually 2 prong. If you get a three prong, I think you will be ok. This is pretty much what I have and has been the best one that I have ever tried so far(for growing purposes), plus it gives me the ability to have 2 on and 2 off cycles if I decided to use it in that fashion. Outdoor Timer

Or you could go with this Coralife Power Center & Aqualight Light Timer

Which I have not found much use for in my growing situation, however I use this on my fishtanks. It does have a little more versatility once you figure it out. This is a cool timer but I dont need it on my grows, its over kill. I think I may have seen this also in a 6 and 8 outlet version as well. There is also a analog timer that is this ones little brother that is/was pretty good. Pet stores should have these. Search the net for this one though, I found it 25 bucks cheaper on the net than what all my pet stores were selling it for.

Double, double check it can do CFL/Fluoro. Many cannot. I Know. Grasslin GRASP24 can switch 60watt of either.
