How is everyone doing ?!?!?!?

here is are some pics, and I have some questions about them
those spots I have circled, does anyone know what that is? and how to get rid of it ?

Im still stumped on my previous question about superthrive and what should be a minimum size before flowering. I really need some help so anyone with some answers or ideas, please, please gimmie a shoutFILE0199.JPGFILE0200.JPGFILE0201.JPGFILE0202.JPGFILE0203.JPG

this is a calcium deficiency. i grow dwc myself, and to combat root rot you may consider simply lowering the res level, or upgrading your air pump. i use an ActiveAqua 12 outlet industrial air pump, and have one bucket per outlet. i had root rot with my first dwc, but i lowered the nute level to one gallon and it fixed it. since then i upgraded to the pump i stated, and i use 2 gal. in the res during flowering with no problems, and i reuse hydroton as well. it's important to note that pythium is EVERYWHERE in the cannabis plant's life. if the conditions are right, then the spores reproduce and slowly climb up through the stalk and kill the plant. no matter how sterile the hydroton is, the only way to prevent root rot is a higher oxygen concentration. i don't use h202, but i have a TON of bubbles in my res. i use superthrive on occasion, though it's more of a stress reducer for the plant than anything. it won't make the plant bigger or grow faster or anything like that.

Thanks for the reply, I thought I might of had a calcium def About three days ago I added Technafloras Magi-Cal which I believe is thier calmag, I havent been fighting root rot tho, but rather Brown slime algae, and Now that battle has been won. I dont USe H2O2 either as I now run Beneficial bacteria.

Im running a sunleaves 1450gph eight outlet air pump with 6 buckets hooked up, Is that enough you think ? my pots look like the water is boiling over.

Im also trying to make up some time lost to the brown slime algae so I can go ahead and flower, IM looking to get at least 10 ounces under my two 400w HPS You have any ruff ideas on how tall I should let em veg to be even capable of hitting that mark ? ( thats what I was wondering about supertive for)

Two are Barneys farm Blue cheese Fem, the other is Nirvana Seeds Blackberry fem all three are about 6in tall, I also have three Sativa seedbank NYPD but those are still tiny and Im gonna let them continue to veg.

well i can't make any guarentees as to the harvest weight that will depend on genetics and environment, but i typically start flowering at about 14". they should nearly double in height once they're finished, and you should get a bare minimum of 2 oz. per plant in my experience... even more if you use co2 and once you get your strains dialed in.

one more thing if your water has enough bubbles to look like it's boiling then your pump is doing fine. i've seen lots of setups that are using small air pumps that just won't do the job. also the brown algae can be cause by light entering the res. it looks like the buckets are pretty light proof, but you may consider taking a small square of panda film and cut it to fit around the base of the plant and cover the hydroton (if you haven't already, i couldn't see the bottom of the plant in your pics), as light can leak through the rocks pretty easy.

thanks, appreciate it, Ive already beaten the brown slime tho, Im just trying to find a way to speed up growth to make up for time lost battling the brown slime. and I also didnt add the cal mag till friday so that was another issue.

gotcha. the cal-mag should speed things up a little at least. if the plant's calcium deficient it'll pull it out of it's leaves, but calcium moves slowly within the plant so growth can slow dramatically.

Hello people!

Well I tried the supertopping method on one of my Blue cheese, Earlier this week I toped both my blue cheese and two of my NYPD for 4 main colas according to Uncle Ben. what Im hoping to achieve by using the uncle ben technique and ten supercropping is a very bushy plany with a bunch of colas on it. if it works the way I want it to, then I will supercrop the other blue cheese I have as well. and later do the same thing with the NYPDs too.

here are a couple of supercropping porn pics for you to touch yourself too.

The first blue cheese I supercropped last night has already started responding positively to the procedure, and thats all I needed to see to be convinced to do it to the other blue cheese I had and two of my NYPDs, now 4 of my 6 girls have been supercropped, in addition to being toped for 4 main colas.

enjoy the pics

Ok, so now that the girls have been supercropped I decided to take it one more step and tie down the pinched branches to keep em from comming up and stay vertical.

In addition I decided to LST my Blackberry and the smaller of the three NYPDs

So now both Blue cheese have been topped for four main colas, then supercropped and ending with a little lst,
the same with two of my NYPDs
and the smaller of the NYPDs and my blackberry have been LST.

Enjoy the pics, Happy growing!

Hey sorry to keep asking the same question, Ive searched and searched and I cant find an answer that I feel comfortable with, So someone please help. I wanna speed up the vegatative growth, I have been using seaplex with is just a seaweed foliar spray, But I also have a bottle of bushmaster, superthrive, and thrive alive B1 red and green. because of the nature of these products (hormones in all except thrive alive b1) and the way they work, Im hesistant to use them based off of some of the answers Ive gotten ( use at full stregnth) that just doesnt seem smart. can anyone give me an idea of how to apply any of these products? I know Id want to use them as foliar sprays, but I dont know how much, or how often I should spray them.

Please please, any help is appreciated

Happy growing everyone !!!!!!

Wish I could help bro !
IMHO, veg time can't really be sped up.
Can't force the plant to do anything until it's really ready to.

even the veg growth cant be sped up any? I know I cant speed up sexual maturity but thats not what Im worried about as they are already showing preflowers, I kinda just want to get them to growth a few more inches faster

unfortunately none of these miracle additives actually work to speed up growth. the main factors influencing rate of growth are genetics and environment. obviusly you can choose good genetics from many breeders, but the best you can do is create an optimum environment for your plants. light, co2, oxygen, humidity and temperature all affect the plants growth rate, and you can control all these except oxygen, which plants produce anyway so it's generally high. light basically gives the plant the energy to convert nutrients and co2 into food and new growth. more light can increase co2 and nutrient uptake, which can therefore increase growth.

Nothing I know of.

thanks for the responses guys, I apprediated the explanation.

Im thinking about flipping them to 12/12 on sunday, should I flush them with plain phd r/o water first? if so , how long?

That flush is completely up to you.
It really depends on what you see taking place.
I just drained and replaced with Bloom nutes on mine.

Okay I used Dark Energy as a foliar spray & for 1 week in my DWC it is some god awful smelly stuff! But it took my WW & AK48 up 3" in 3 days and yes I was still in VEG.

On the flush question, I flushed mine for 4 hours before putting them in the Bloom nutes etc. I PH'd the tap water & added Flora Kleen in some 5GA buckets let them sit in there in the tent (under light of course) with air bubbles. I then took the coolers I use and rinsed them cleaned them and filled them up ready to go, added frozen water bottles to cool the water during this process. All I had to do was place the ladies back in the coolers. I am using the bucket lid net pots so it made it very easy to go back & forth when flushing or during a nute change.

Alright. tonight is the last night of veg for both of my blue cheese my blackberry and one of my NYPDs
Im flushing them until 7pm my time which will be 5 hours

Ive moved both of the smaller NYPDs to the veg box under the t5 light where they will continue to veg along with the cuttings I took.

So, Ill be using the gh 3 part for flower

anyway here is a pic of my best looking blue cheese, she has been toped for four main colas, supercropped, and I am cusrrently LSTing her. she stands about 6.5 inches tall, has a width that covers the entire bucket, and has about 20 tops, maybe more, I loose count.
Im looking to get about 100 or so grams from her FILE0212.JPGFILE0213.JPG
