Thanks for stopping by Howzer,Nice set-up MJnation. I'll stay tuned to see how your new vertical situation goes .. I use a squirrel cage style blower too, it works great. It's an ActiveAir 465CFM. A lot quieter than a Dayton and indeed pulls mad amounts of air.
I use mine with a nice little speed control on my daystar reflector..This past round I was running 400w, I'm switching back up to the 600w this coming round. I've never used an ActiveAir brand but it was a great price for the blower based on it's performance. My dayton got old and tired so I dropped in on CL for $40. Now I'm glad I went with the different name..This one also has a 4" flange on the intake, which my dayton did not. So I can pull air. Much better for my cab. Thanks for stopping by Howzer,
I have to agree with you on the squirrel cage fans, some of them do move insane ammounts of air and I do find them alot more silent also.
Glad to see you over here FuZZyBUDz..wat up MN, im SUBD!
600 Watters are way more effecient Howzer. Oh yea, this I know, I've been doing this for years . The 400w seemed like a good idea for this particular cab, but in retrospect I should have just went straight for the 600 from the beginning. And I've always been a double or nothing kind of guy when it comes to my ventilation. Grabbing a fan that's twice the capacity you'll need coupled with a speed control dialed down is much better than pushing the hell out of a fan that's just enough capacity.600 Watters are way more effecient Howzer.
