Just planted a seed in my regular flowering pot being heated by my 125 watt bulb in my closet. Howlong am I going to have to wait for it to sprout. Is there anything around the house to help maintain it better

If your seeds have not been germinated till the point where they have roots and a stem, you shouldn't have any light on them at all. All they need to sprout is some water and a dark place at about 20-21 degrees. Until your plant has leaves it cannot use any light to do anything at all.

It can vary too, give it a week, if no sprout give it another, if at the end of the 3rd week you still don't see anything chances are it was a dud and wont sprout.

so I should.germinate the seeds 1st and when they crack I can put them in the soil and give them light right? and how much lighting do u recomened?

Yeah once they sprout you can move them (VERY carefully) into the soil and put the seed maybe 5mm under the surface. Keep it watered and it will eventually grow leaves. Once the leaves develop it is ready for light. As for how much light, keep it on 24/7 for the first 4-6 weeks and place the light as close to the plant as possible without burning the leaves. Keep it watered well and nute it to grow a strong healthy plant.

You might want to think about getting a fan or something to run in the closet circulate the air. Put it behind the light so that it will blow any leaves away that get to close

i personally germ a little warmer i throw them in a cup of water and set them on top of my water heater about 80-85 degrees fahrenheit

and what kind of nutrients can I find around the house to make the plant stronger?
You will want a NPK(Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium) bag of nutrients, it takes awhile to find what ratios are good for your plants but the cheapest and best place to start would be a 7/4/3 ratio'd bag
