NZ outdoor grow advice please

Hey everyone,

Just a bro from New Zealand growing some plants in the garden for the first time (kiwiskunk feminized) and have a few questions..

NOTE: I've searched the forums for answers already but I haven't come across enough relevant info. A lot of it is only a little bit similar to what I am trying to do and is of little use to me so I thought I might as well make my own thread. But yeah, I did try, sorry if these Q's have been answered before. Cheers.

----------------

I germinated the seeds and then planted them 12 days ago into small 2inch jiffy pots with some run-o-the-mill seed raising mix inside a mini-greenhouse, all of which was purchased conveniently from Te Ware Whare lol.

I originally placed the greenhouse in a slightly shadyish area and I give them a short mist with the hose every couple of days when the soil looks dry. But after a minor dampening off problem, I applied cinnamon to the soil (worked:clap:) and placed the greenhouse in a sunnier area. I now also leave the lid open during the day so the light breeze can strengthen the stems a bit, and close the lid at night to keep them warm/protect from rain.

My questions:

1. How do these look for 12 days old?
2. Criticisms on what i've done so far? good/bad/absolutely shite?
3. When can I transplant them to slightly bigger pots and the process for this?
4. Watering/nutes/care tips once they have been transplanted?
5. Tips for getting skunk off these little bastards as possible?

Sorry for writing a fuckin novel aye, but it's best to have you fully up to speed in order to help me as best you can I reckon.

Cheers everyone,

fakey false jones

1 they look fine is it 12 from seed or since they broke through the soil?
2 looking good so far
3 Transfer them into decent sized pots 4litres or so then into their final pot/soil I found less transplanting stunted growth less
4 I use worm cast blood and bone and dolomite lime for veg and potash/woodash for flowering, no I just add water the whole way through.

Yeah it has been 12 days since I planted the germinated seeds. Do you think I should re-pot them now or wait a bit? Do you think they are getting too big for these small jiffy pots?
Just asking because although summer has just begun, there is still some rain here and there and I don't know if they are ready to deal with the forces of nature in their current vulnerable state.

Thanks for your help

You should re-pot now, more room for roots to develop. Was thinking about purchasing this strain for my next grow, keep updating, with new pics.

Ok. How about the threat of rain and wind seeing as they wont fit in the mini-greenhouse once i re-pot? Was thinking of possibly getting some frost cloth to protect them while they are young and weak. What do you think?

If you are worried just cut some 2l coke bottles in half and use them just make sure you drill some holes in them they dislike high humidity the older they get.

The rain from Oz seems to be headed your way we have had 3 months of steady rain, so have fun :)
