Silica. Add first or last?

When mixing your nutrient solution, do you add silica first or last? or does it make a difference? I've heard conflicting instructions. Some say it must be added first, others say to add only to your final nutrient solution. Any input?

The rule of themb is to always add your base nutes first (veg, bloom, micro nutes)and then add supplements. You just have better control of your res that way. Good luck

Unless you're using dutch master like me. That company recommends that you use all of your supplements first then add base nutes.

I use silica blast, and tend to put it in after nutes. It has a high PH, and can be used instead of up if you didn't go too low. What I like to do is to PH down a little more than I need to, than pour in the silica. I use it at 50% the recommended level, and every 3rd res change.
