I trimmed off a small nug towards the bottom today. To get some practice with trimming. Yea, I noticed more amber trichs on the bubblelicious. Ideally I would like to cut them down at the same time so I can use the growbox for drying. I'm still thinking of a way to get a small carbon filter onto a cardboard box I made for drying.
its ok to add that you wanted to smoke some of that delicious bud

Yea, that might be an added bonus. I made a little box to dry them in since I'm sure the sour cream will take longer to finish. Took a comp fan, stuck it in a pop tart box (perfect fit surprisingly) and put a piece of carbon on the other end. Got another box to be like an intake, cut two wholes in that box then taped it all to the bigger box. Seems to work pretty good.

I'm starting to see preflowers all over the plant now mostly towards the top. How long after the boom in preflowers did you start seeing some bud development? after today that will have been one week flowering. measured plant today its already a foot tall which leaves me with another foot and a half of room left. Its funny because its not slowing down and i only have this bad boy in a 10inch pot no signs of it being rootbound either.

close to 2 weeks into 12/12 before I noticed bud development.

Where exactly do the bud sites form because i think i see where they would but i'm not sure.. i'm already convinced the preflowers are not indicators as to where the bud site forms

I wondered the same thing. They form between the stem and the branch. Then of course the main stem. You'll really start to notice in the next few days. Around day 14 of 12/12 is when I really started noticing bud sites.

For reference on how they grow when switched to 12/12. They are under 9 23w cfl 2700k bulbs.

Bud sites generate at the nodes. That is where a leaf or branch appears on the stem. Buds form from the flowers, which are located at each node. It's why you read that short tight nodes are best, because it means nice big fat buds. A;; of the nodes interconnect and the bud becomes one.

I flushed the sour cream today. This morning I noticed quite a few amber trichs. I think I'll cut it down not this coming Monday but the next.
