should I "wash" my harvested plants?

we have not had a drop of rain for 25 days... I plan on harvesting in 3 days and my plants are covered with cottonwood seeds, dandilion seeds, bird shit, dead bugs dirt etc... (the buds are so frosty everything is sticking to 'em)

would it be a good idea to spray 'em down with the garden hose (similar to a light rain) to clean 'em up? Seems like a pain in the ass to do that... what do other outdoor gorilla growers do?

Yea you can rinse em off, best bet wold be to eaither do it on a windy day or have some sort of fan I say this so that the buds don't stay wet long and produce mold, even that close to harvest you still have to cure the and you don't want soggy buds getting mold in the jars

Ive cleaned my buds using my watering jug like a miniture shower. Just rubbed the big clumps of dirt off and let the rest wash off, worked pretty good, wayy less dirt than before.

if you got 3 days before harvest and it isnt gonna rain. rinsing them off wont hurt anything. do it.

I am right next to a lake... I was even considering just giving them a quick dunk before hangin' to dry.

it has been very nice in MN all Oct... things are looking good

I just put a tarp over one of mine that has another 2 weeks to go last night, i didnt realize it was an old tarp and was disintergrating so my buds got covered in blue tarp dust. blasted them with the hose this morn and hitting hard with a fan after shaking them off real good. would rather lose a few grams to mold than smoke tarp dust as I was planning on this plant being personal bus since it's such a sativa dom..

I would douse them a day or 2 before harvest, dunking them right after you cut sounds kinda risky for mold/mildew...
