why are you going to 14/9 light schedule which by the way is only 23 hours. If you mean 18/6, why would you switch to hps. You do that when you flip to 12/12.

they look good so far but what is the cage for, mabye scrog or something.
also 14/9 is not a good light schedule. stick to 12/12 for flower cuz it works.

The cage is a long story, I wasn't sure where I was going to grow my babies and I didn't want my wife's pussies eating them like catnip. Luckly I got the spare room that has a door...but still don't trust the pussies!!! IT'S A CHEAP DOG CRATE FROM AMAZON LOL

Mcpurples right. Yoy be surprised at how much light you are losing with your current setup. Do you have a spare closet you could put your girls in?

No, All I got is this bedroom and I'm not very handy with building things since my injury...hence me now being a medicinal user.

Where's your light...from the pic looks like your lighting the plants from the side??? Get that light up above and put it on an easy to adjust chain or yo-yo. Also, don't spray when the lights are on. The drops of water act like a magnifiying glass and burn the leaves. Best time to spray is 30-60 min b4 lights on. Don't spray at start of dark cycle cause too much humidity for too long will encourage mildew/mold.

Any kind of wall you can set up around your gro will pay off big time. Even if you just hang sheets of mylar/white plastic around them you'll see much better results.

I hope you're in an area where you can grow legally, otherwise I wouldn't use a cracked window to vent your girls. Personally I'd take a piece of plywood, cut a hole in it for a fan and then bolt it over the window (hang a curtain or shade in front the plywood so it doesn't look fishy).

Thank you! My HPS is hanging over cage but just out of site of that picture. My vent window abuts a woodsy unwalkable cliff...there are no neighbors to worry about. That was the first foliar spray I did (about 30 mins before "lights out". I will change my spray schedule... Am going to Lowes/Home Depot tomorrow to see if I can find any thing to assemble an enclosure (I love Duct tape) hahaha ;)

Thank you one and all for these great tips!!

ive always sprayed with lights on with no probs, if you have a spreader agent mixed in the water then no drops of water are on th leaf just misted water. and if you have fans on them they dry fairly wuick

Keeping the heat down will help minimize stretch but mostly is just something you have to live with. Some strains stretch more than others. I'd keep some stakes handy.

I had to open the top door of the dog crate and raise the HPS light since I let it veg for too long. Was using Jacks 20-20-20, now switching to Pure Blend Pro Soil Bloom and Liquid Karma. PH still fine and gonna hook up a timer for better 12/12. Starting to see small Pistil/hairs (boy are they taking their sweet time)
According to what I've read, I'm hoping for a Christmas harvest if all goes according to plan and no problems.

Any suggestions or comment welcome!

Are you able to get that room dark enough for the 12/12 cycle? seems like they wouldn't bud properly.
Yes, I get 12 hours of total darkness this time a year and the room is only used for my two ladies. If sunrise/sunset times change I will black out the windows.
