i just got a ppm meter, never had one and aparently 63 ppm is low for tap water, how do i calibrate this thing if its off
where can i get this? it says calibrate to 1382
Mine starts out at 0 and I let it creep to 20 or so before replacing the membrane.R/O water - 30
No you dont need R/O water but just let your water sit to evaporate any chemicals in the water that might hurt the plant.so if its at 63 theres not really a point in getting RO water to reduce the ppm only 30 for 20$ a week
Don't waste your money and water (R/O filters produce a lot of waste water). I did my first grow (picture in my avatar) using my 500 ppm tap water and it turned out great, so I would not be worried about 63.so if its at 63 theres not really a point in getting RO water to reduce the ppm only 30 for 20$ a week
lol I am pretty sure the answer to this is yes but I am not positive 90%Quick question. If I'm growing hydroponically and I want my reservoir to be at 900 ppm with nutes, do I actually want 1200ppm because my tap water is at 300? My two waterfarms just arrived today and I can't wait for my clones to root.

no you add the two, you dont put in 900 nutes of you want 900 ppm and your water is 250, you would add 650 insteadQuick question.
