First Ever Grow - Stealth PC Easy Ryder Bubbleponics

14 days since it sprouted and the plant (lowryder #2) looks extremely small still. The leaves are drooping and not a lot of roots are forming. Were your plants like this, or am I doing something wrong?
Hmm... What is your reservoir liquid level relative to your net pot, and are you getting a decent spray/mist from your airstones? It looks to me like the plant is healthy, just slightly under-watered for whatever reason (that's the first thing that "droopiness" suggests to me anyway).

Here are numbers from last night.

Numbers:

pH: 6.2
PPM: 1300

PPM is getting a bit high. I'll top off my reservoir with nutes today.

The plant is looking good. There is still a little bit of browning at the very tips of some of the leaves due to some awkward PPM levels last week.

Here's something interesting from the Autoflower thread:
Actually many of the Autos are supposed to only go 7-8 weeks from seed. One of my Easy Ryders is going to be harvested just over week 8, and one of them at week 9, both with 30-50% amber trichs already, but they're the smaller phenotype ER like they show on the Attitude site. My larger phenotype ERs will go until week 10 or 11, which is very typical for the larger phenotype variation.
Thanks for the info enonumus! I think the chances are pretty good that I have the larger phenotype. Week 10 or 11 will be perfect for my schedule!

Here is a picture. I set a lighter on top of my screen for size reference, but it's still a little deceiving. The lighter was at a weird angle relative to the perspective, so it makes the bud next to it look shorter than the lighter. In reality, the bud is roughly the same height as the lighter. Use this statement as reference.

^ would like to know as well!

Also, when did you switch to your 2700k/flowering light bulb? How did you know when to switch? On my lowryders, I think I see some very very early signs of pistes so I'm not sure if I should change the lighting or not.

Great grow you have there aggreenvln! How is the smell?
Hello and welcome, greenKandy :). Thank you much. The smell is not so bad lately. It could just be that I'm getting used to it, but it really doesn't seem as penetrating as it used to. There was a period of a week or two where if you opened the door to my room a wall of smell would instantly hit you, but now I can hang out with my door open and I don't really notice anything in the hall outside my door. I still plan on constructing a proper carbon filter, but for now I think I'm okay.

Heya endofwed. I switched to flowering lights after it was pretty obvious that she was flowering. If my 125W 2700k had come in the mail sooner I could have switched sooner. I would recommend switching to flowering lights about a week after pistils first show, though I'm not basing this recommendation off of anything except critical thought and my own limited experience. Your plant is looking very good! Droopiness may be just a passing phase :).

Alrighty, I just took a picture and some measurements, so here's an update!

Numbers:

pH: 6.1
PPM: 1350

I topped off my reservoir with ~2L of about 2/3 strength flowering nutes. I'll need to use a bit lower concentration next time.

I am keeping an eye on trichome color, and I still haven't seen a significant number of amber trichomes anywhere on the plant. Looking good for a finish in two weeks!

Shows you how efficient you can be with such space restrictions. This is a must read for those going for a PC case.

Thank you for the greeting! Since you have a PC case setup, are you going to strictly grow autoflowers? Wondering if auto's would give you a headache because of the Runderalis in it?

Oh, before I forget, does your PC case have a lock or someway to keep it locked?

Thanks for answering +rep

I've smoked a few autos and have never gotten a headache. The ruderalis was just used to get the autoflower trait I believe.

What a compliment, WOWgrow, thanks! I am trying to get the thread as much exposure as possible. I hope it proves useful to some :). And yes -- maximum efficiency is definitely what I'm going for!

My specific medium-term plans only really dictate that my next two or three grows be autoflowers; I'll do one more Easy Ryder to tweak my technique, then grow one or two (in succession) of something else. Perhaps Hindu Kush Ryder? Suggestions welcome, though it's still a long way off. I may order the seeds in the next month or so though, just so I know I have them.

Beyond this, I consider there to be two options: (1) Continue growing autoflowering strains, or (2) Experiment with regular strains going 12/12 from seed. I have heard about people having good results with this method -- it may be an option worth exploring.

Yes; The autoflowering trait and the short/bushiness. The negative aspects have been pretty much bred out of the good quality auto seeds (LowLife, Joint Doctor, etc).

EDIT: I just realized I completely neglected the lock question -- currently I have no way to lock my PC case side door. I haven't really thought about how to do it, but I'm sure some sort of locking mechanism could be engineered fairly easily. I have no real immediate requirement for a side door lock, but it could definitely be worth thinking about how to put one in. Thanks. I'll update when I have more info.

I topped off the reservoir with ~1L of pH-adjusted RO water tonight to bring down my TDS level. Looking good.

I'm starting to notice a very small number of amber trichomes on most leaves, and none on buds yet. I'm confident that my harvesting schedule is good.

Some of these buds are really starting to fatten up nicely! I was going to wait until Thursday to post more close-ups, but I took one and couldn't stop myself from taking about ten more once I saw how pretty it was. So... you'll get closeups today and Thursday :).

Nice grow aggreenvin.
DOOD YOUR MY PC GROW GOD!!! Simply Amazing
Thanks so much, everyone! I'm getting really excited too as I'm watching her finish up.

nice grow, how much longer till you harvest?
Hey MoNk0, thanks for coming over. I'll be harvesting in under two weeks. Sunday, Nov7 or thereabouts.

Just checked on the plant; she's looking swell. Literally. Buds swelling up everywhere. I'll have to get my roommate to send me pictures a couple times while I'm out of town so I can post them!

More later.
