Not Liking The Idea Of Keeping My Light On For 24/7 For A Full Week I Know It Ment To Be Realy Good For My Plants But Need Reasurance , My Soil Looks Realy Dry But Only Watered 4 Hours Ago And I Tryed The Finger Technique To See If Its Still Moist A Few Cm Down But Dont Feel It ... Any One Had This Proble In The Past I DONT WANT TO DROWN MY BABIES .. And Is It Even Safe To Keep My Light On For That Long ?? Its A 400w HPS

Thanks McGravity

You can start the plants at 18/6. Is your reflector air cooled? Some more info and ppl can give you some more help. Whats the temp in the grow area? Is it air cooled? Do you have a fresh air intake? Oscillating fans?

I personally don't want to help you because you wrote every word with a capital letter. My sister does that shit...

My room is 1 meter by 1 meter 6 foot high , its just a normal growlight with no cooler , but they is a extractor fan sucking cool air in and a vent for the warm air to come out , the temp is around 83 - 85 f

best way to check that moisture level is to "weigh" the pots dry and then wet. By weigh I mean pick them up and you can feel the difference or just buy a water meter on ebay or your local nursery if you have the itch ha. I use a 18/6 but I've heard 24/0 especially on auto flowers but many will argue the sleep cycle...if your vegin use a MH but if you dont have one the HPS will work through the grow.

mcgravity, I use the 18/6 method. I was watching a show on discovery channel about plants. It seems they need to sleep like we do. For all my "veg" needs it is 18/6. That includes clones, mothers and just vegging before the clones go into the flower room. I have had no issues and they have done very well. I dont knock those that do the 24 hour thing, just dont think the plants need it or like it. Just my 2 cents worth.
