You're reaching a little.

Thats really only feasible with hydro and some people like their dirt not to mention how many people have a 25 ft room in there house? This is all nonsense and if the bill would give more rights to citizens it would probably get passed.
How am I stretching a little? Why can't someone build a grow box. I did.. It's no where near 25sq ft. I can build a box it's not hard. Where does it say in the bill that you HAVE to have it in a 25sq ft room? Something you made up to defend your invalid point. What does hydro and soil have to do with a 5x5' box? What does having multiple levels have to do with it as well? Something else you made up. I guess I'm growing hydro in the box I build even though I have these little bags filled with this black looking dirt stuff. You have no facts to hold a candle to anything you're saying. You have no idea why you're against it, you just are. Same reason people are racist, they have no valid reason why, they just are. Ignorance in this Country and humanity as a whole is out of control.

Exactly.

A recommendation is far more protection from bad government and bad laws than P19.

My son got his at 18.

He has severe back problems(scoliosis).

$100 annually is far better protection than the unknown effects of the " Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010".(Better known as P19)

25 sqft is 25 sq ft, it doesn't matter about the dimensions it would still contain the same area. Also, how would you keep clones if you could only have the one area. This bill sets up big business to profit off of you in some way or another. Whether it's buying from them because the taxes on personal grows are too high or your buying their clones because of space limitations otherwise you're growing from seed every time. Hell, allowing taxation of personal grows is reason enough to vote no. .
Guess what? 19 does NOT allow taxation for personal grow, show me where in the prop it "allows" for this please.
how can they possibly tax what you grow at home on your property with your seeds on and your dirt? they can't it is impossible and not the intention of prop 19....AT ALL.
you don't need a permit to grow tomatoes and you will NOT need one to grow marijuana when 19 passes.

As for the grow space, it does not define that it has to be confined to one area. you can have plants out side in a 15 sq ft plot and a mother/clones/whatever inside in 10 sq ft plot. or just a room with a closet, or 2 indoor closets, the possibilities are endless...

you are reaching at straws, all of your arguments against 19 are invalid and unsupported.

also medical growers are recommended to grow under 12 plants, people vs kelley was not definitive enough to protect a limitless amount of plants for medical growers, a 5 x 5 feet space is capable of containing WAY more than 12 plants....

That is purely misinformation.

Read this article and then refute RC's ordinance.

It doesn't protect against it either show me where it say personal grows can't be taxed. The government isn't a fan of this legalization the people are and the government will try and get as much money as possible out of it. A lot of the problems with this bill is what it doesn't cover and what protections it doesn't offer.

Splitting up your grow isn't any better if anything it would be more restrictive. No matter how you divide it up it's still 25 sq ft and the possibilities aren't endless.

1. It depends on where you live and the county's guidelines.
2. Your full of shit if you think you can fit over 12 mature marijuana plants in a 5x5 area unless your flowering clones and they better not be sativas.
Can you get more possibilities out of 0.0 square feet?

Jeeeshh.........Rancho Cordova is an anomaly! This silly assed proposal from Rancho C. gets trucked out in every nay saying thread.
They love to point at this piece of nonsense and say "oh my, this is the future with prop 19!"
Rancho Cordova gained a lot of attention with what amounts to a big joke. If they seriously tried to passed something as outrageous as this piece of crap "legislation", it would be knocked out in the first round of challenges. And please note that it is ONLY Rancho C., one small central CA town, (wrecking yards and fast food are the mainstay of this enlightened community!).
No Stones, the Rancho C argument just wont fly.......BB

oh great a tax that doesn't even exist, that's helpful to this discussion....NOT!

how can such a tax even be enforced? it can't!

sorry but your lame attempt to refute all of the VALID information in my post is a FAIL!
Every red neck or Mormon dominated city(there are a BUNCH of them) in California will jump on the precedent. This will render quite a few cities with nothing but ridiculously punitive laws governing Cannabis.

If P19 were to pass, I'd be willing to bet that some Californians would have to drive 100 miles to score a "legal" bag.

Do you even know where Rancho Cordova is? It is a suburb of Sacramento where according to the linked article: "In nearby Sacramento, voters will consider a local measure to levy a gross receipts tax of 2 percent to 4 percent on some 39 existing medical pot dispensaries and impose a tax of 5 percent to 10 percent on new retail pot outlets if Proposition 19 passes." So, Rancho Cordova residents can drive five miles to a dispensary. The better way to solve this problem in RC is for the citizens to vote these statist assholes out of office. RC's punitive tax can't possibly survive a legal challenge in any case.

One of the commenters on the SacBee article about Rancho Cordova posted this:

"
Mayor Cooley is brothers with Attorney General Candidate Steve Cooley, the LA DA that prosecutes legal medical marijuana dispensaries solely for political gain (see where he's at now).

It is no surprise that brother Ken continues the family tradition of promoting drug cartels while wearing a sheep's mask."

That DOES explain a lot about RC!

its pretty easy to speculate which cities will allow sales and which ones will restrict it. 19 is so similar to 215 that the cities that have already drafted ordinances for 215 will most likely continue to allow/or not recreational marijuana depending on what they have ALREADY decided.
the great part about this that we have learned over the past years of operating within these specifications under 215 is that delivery services are the solution to jurisdictions that do not allow sales.
i live in a county that banned medical sales, however anytime i need weed i just call a delivery service from the neighboring county, never even have to leave home!

There's something to be said for that. But, I wonder what would happen to the delivery driver if he were caught "dealing" where it is illegal?

It really just depends on how idiotic they want to get. I've seen some really bad local governments.

what WOULD happen? maybe they will enforce an ordinance based on a first time warning, second time MAJOR fine. similiar to cell phone violators. maybe most cops who agree on the low risk of pot will all give warnings. look at how cops portray our laws now. some cops are dicks some are pretty chill. what would make this any different?

dude you make it sound like your whole family is fucked up.
My wife has had cancer three times. Now over twenty years in the past due to saturation levels of THC, the entire time.

My son has a spinal problem that causes him pain and loss of sleep. Cannabis beats the hell out of sedatives.

Me? I'm physically worn out. I worked hard for 40 years in some physically demanding jobs. I can have all the Vicodin I want, but prefer Cannabis to get through the day. Our other children don't use.

Now, don't you feel better?

It sounds like you're in need of medication for emotional issues.

i dont feel any different really.

but u sure use your family as an example a lot.

I use my family because they are an excellent example of people who benefit greatly from the current system.

You just want to get high, and to hell with those who NEED their meds.
