Fly Argaric - Amanita Muscaria - Toadstools compared to...

the classic mushroom. mario, fairy tales, pixies...etc.

i have recently done some research and heard about this psychoactive mushroom and have been wanting to compare it to psilocybe mushrooms.

when i first heard about 'magic mushrooms' or 'shrooms'. my friends allegedly told me the things they saw such as: trix the rabbit getting yogurt out of the fridge, Leprechauns, mikie mouse coming out of the tv, a hand that comes out of the toilet and grabs you, pixies/fairies that float around while sparkling, gnomes and elves running around laughing in circles...etc.
or simply going to an "alice in wonderland" type universe.

after experiencing a bad trip and finding out the REAL power of psilocybe mushrooms.....i obviously had NO IDEA what this psilocybin/psilocin could do.
they DIDNT show me crazy hallucination cartoons that i could talk to and see some crazy shit happen.... all my "friends" who allegedly had taken mushrooms were full of shit.

im not saying i didnt or dont enjoy psilocybe mushrooms then or today.


im interested in amanita muscaria and have recently found the other day at my local head shop.....they are selling them. 25 bucks for 15 grams.
i found out these are legal in USA.

how should the tea be prepared if i wanted to consume a dose of amanita muscaria?
i was thinking about 8-10 grams of only caps in a brew.

has anyone experienced these beauties?
what are they like compared to psilocybe mushrooms?
would you recommend them?
if so, why?
do you not recommend them?
if so why?

are there any negative side effects?

Never had them personally. Heard they make you trip but first your going to be sick as a dog. Might be cool for the experience but Ill pass thanks. I actually see those all the time when Im out foraging.

First off, I'd do the cubes till I get the full magic effect. Its not called magic mushrooms for nothing.
Amanita's available in trade are normaly not worth the price of the plastic bag they ship in.
But, lets say you do get a good sample, you still need to be a pretty solid psychonaut, as it is a pretty strong deleriant.
You basicaly fall into your head and create a new reality in there by just thinking.

I have done amanita muscaria, I ate about 3 or 4 caps alongside with the stems I did not hallucinate like expected but I did get super high I had no nausea affects but i rather enjoyed my amanita muscaria experience making clouds to the shapes that i wanted them to be, i felt very stoned but much more dreamy like
all in all it was alright, ill do them again if i happen across them in the wild again...

i got some of these from some place online,along with hbwr seeds....tries a lil bit of both, with no effects. i never got to try the tea with amenita..maybe ill give it another go since i still have plent left...hey heatlessbbq, let us know how it goes for ya.

I was going to purchase these at a head shop a couple of weeks ago. He told me you HAVE to use the TEK on captainfly.com to make tea or it wont work. He said he had some customers buy some and try them and he told them it just got em really high. Im guessing the potency of these things are not very strong. He said 15g would get 2 people high. Iv tried finding the website but i cant. When i go back i will ask him again

I didn't read any of the other post........ but could you tell me the brand, some freinds of mine bought some argarics from the head shop, captain amsterdam brand and felt almost nothing, they were old and to weak...... each freind ate 15g's, pre baged anamita's are not really worth it maybe if you could get some freshies

because you have to brew the caps a certain way.

the native populace up here in AK and in Siberia used to use those in spiritual practices, in which one man (usually and elder shaman or w/e) would consume as many fly amanitas as he could, bearing all the ill effects unto himself, he would the piss into a small stone cup, and around 10 other people could sip off of it and get the effects without the digestive discomfort, because the active compound, muscarin A, doesn't break down in the stomach. this was their only drug until white man introduced alcohol.

i tried them once, but i fucked up.

apparently you need to dry them to convert some chemical to another form which is usuable for tripping. unless converted ingestion will ultimately lead to nausea. i upchucked before ie ven started trippin

the reason they didn't do any thing is cause they suck haha they used the websites way of taking it so no thats not why plus each one did double the amount suggested........ im just putting a warning out there... they may not work fresh is where its at (also neither of my freinds complained about feeling nausia)
