They've been flowering almost 9 weeks (since pistils have shown).. its supposedly a 8-9 week strain but when i picture them trimmed it doesnt seem it will look like bud normally does.... are these ready? i have been flushing for a week hoping to harvest soon but will wait if needed.

wait another week. some of the pics look done but a lot of the buds don't look finished

pics 2,3,4,5 do need more time

pics 1,6,7 look good <<< if these are all from the same plant i would say 3-4 more days maybe less

theyre are some ambers and some milky but alot are still clear... i was under the impression that they would be all milky before turning amber? what happens if i let them go too long? does anyone have a pic of how a bud should look right before harvest? not the trichs but the actual bud.

If it were me, I would probably harvest soon. Maybe wait a week max, but not over a week. If you let them go too long than some of the thc will turn into cbd and degrade potency

I agree with him i would not wait longer than a week for the buds i said looked done above,

but the others still need a week or more

The only way to know for sure is to invest in a scope of some sort. Depending on the stone you are after, you want the trichomes to either be just turning cloudy, just turning amber, or 50% of the trichomes are amber. The more amber, the deeper, heavier more couch lock stone you get. Also, the older the plant is, the more THC that is converted to CBD.

If you are using non-organic fertilizer, don't forget you have to flush for a week so you have to plan for that as well. If you are using soil or all organics, no need to flush, although I do anyway just to be sure.

Finally, it depends on the genetics. Indica's tend to finish fast, while some sativa's can go 12 weeks. Do as much reading on your strain as you can. Good luck.

no trics don't all turn cloudy before going amber...its best to wait another week or 2 I'd say wait till half or more are cloudy then chop kinda depends on the kind of smoke you are looking for as well

See how in pics 1,6,7 the hairs have receded back into the bud. That is the best indication that its about time to harvest<<< KEY WORD ABOUT

In pics 2,3,4,5 the hairs are all over the place and are not ready yet. <<< Can you see the minor differences?

In the end it is better to wait to long than cut to early
