It's good the competition is being run differently because now everyone has a voice, but let's try and not over do it with tons of rules and conditions... the old format is pretty decent.

I'm pretty certain according to what went wrong in the last thread we know what needs to be changed, but beyond that we have something good going, let's not get carried away.

As far as your suggestions, I generally agree with your rules, and I also feel like no one should be reported unless there are insults or name calling. We saw how much unwanted attention was received whenever people were getting reported or banned from the next round, in every other post.

I would also say a finished harvest is from cutting to curing, and description and documentation of each step. I.e., the chop and trimming, dried weight, maybe a smoke report for fun (and reference). That right there is good enough to justify females only. But, not everyone "cures". And to me a cure is at least 2 mos. that's why I'm suggesting it gets nailed down.
And as far as everyone voting, pretty simple, everyone that can vote will have their votes countedOkay. That's any one registered with RIU.

My intent is not to overdo it, just to nail it down enough to try and offer good answers to questions. I think there are a lot of folks watching and thinking of getting in. We can define basic rules without getting too wordy. But that would come after the hashings.

I don't know. Think that maybe a bit much.
At this point, health and frequent posting are the only voting criterior. I see no reason to continue with dry, cure or smoke. Should not effect voting choice because it has no bearing on "health".
I'd say when it's cut, it's over. (and on with the next match - LOL)

Now on the otherhand, if folks want to continue with all that and keep the thread alive a little, why not? Sure go ahead. But the evaluation for voting the best postings and healthies plants should end at the cut.

Well, like I said, a smoke report for fun. I didn't mention it as a criteria for the vote, and it would serve are a reference for anyone that wants to try that particular strain.......

Definitely important this female issue, if it's one seed one person, then you are taking a chance without fem seeds, otherwise for those with fem seeds one seed one person works great.

Would it be a good idea to let anyone who doesn't have feminized seeds start two, and when they are sexed they choose ONE and only ONE (if they aren't both male). That might get tricky, but if there is no cheating I don't see any issue.

How about that as a loop hole?: Two females, one better than the other, choose better one, thats not fair. We would all be saying we have regular seeds and plant two!

This is exactly why we need to EVERYTHING sorted out! Very good point man, so then what.. I guess it's ONE seed one person? And that can be identified with the contestant labeling it, or distinguishing it somehow..

I guess votes should be made according to the criteria we have for a healthy and vigorous plant, i.e: vigor during the different stages of growth, plus how nice the buds look, maybe not size since there are different lights, although size and production of buds can also be taken into account.

That won't happen again, there were very specific catalysts to that, and they have been and will be removed.

Okay, so the idea for letting everyone vote is still fresh, let's see how the voting process goes with this current round. It might be better if votes are tallied by invite only (they can PM me if they want to vote, and I can publish any results) OR it could just simply be contestant only votes.

Instead of bashing on me constantly (calling me Kulang which is derogatory and insulting) and blaming everything on me for the last round, why don't you start your own competition from the ground up instead of taking my competition, twisting it out of shape and then reforming it back to its original form?

I see little things like "i dont want to report people unless they call people names...". The only time I have ever reported people is when I was called a douchebag, asshole, dickhead, idiot, ect...

I have a ton more examples, but there is no point beating it in the ground.

Are you saying I cannot finish my grow like the others? I mean, you did take all my rules, name and ideas. I think its fair that I should be able to finish like everyone else.

However, Your new competition (even though its plagiarism and is why I am making suggestions) is open to everyone who wants to finish their grows (as you stated). I simply want to finish like the others.

I am also supporting your "revised" version by updating my grow that was in the original cage. As I said before, I am one of the only ones that have updated in your "revised" thread.

Sounds like you are having a hard time moving on by being rude and disrespectful to me still and not taking my suggestions as genuine constructive criticism.

Stop acting like the victim man, you quit. When you "requested the thread to be locked" you resigned. Plagiarism implies it was wrongful (which it obviously isn't). And if I was saying you couldn't finish your grow, I would have said that, and obviously i didn't. I'm not arguing with you, I genuinely want to finish this round, unlike yourself who, again, requested the previous thread to be locked. By requesting that, and then coming back like nothing happened, you are sending mixed messages, and I asked you if you were still in, and I got no response. That's all man, don't overreact I'm by no means being rude or disrespectful, so don't say I am.

There is absolutely no problem with having you around, but maybe you were a bit unclear. Everyone thought you were out (read the whole thread you obviously missed some bits) after closing the thread, and then you just randomly came back without explaining that you had never left (if that's the case). And no, the cage didn't stop (that's quite apparent) you stopped your end of the cage.

How is what I'm saying unreasonable?

You get so worked up because I gave you suggestions. I have stayed positive in your "revised" thread and was one of the only ones who kept your thread on topic by posting a contenders update. I came in this thread (knowing you would bash on me) to help you get off the ground since you are having troubles doing so.

I suggest you discuss my suggestions to other people, especially plagiarizing my idea. I would of gave you all my ideas to use with my blessing if you guys just showed an ounce of kindness and understanding. As it stands now, I have made PDF files from the original cage match thread as evidence that I started it just in case we have any disagreements in the future about who started what and when.

Lastly, I hope you are not one of the judges because by ignoring me you will not be able to see my updates. I am at an unfair advantage if the main judge cannot see my updates. You should discuss this situation with the rest of the group so you do not have any surprises in your event.
