Is putting the plant as close to the light as possible best?

you hang lights with a huge big crane...how does that fit inside a room????...so they can work at night??...mine arent on cranes and have them on at night. the pouint isnt to get the whole room lit up..its to focus on a good strong lumsnh foot print and that far away isnt a good one...its a wider one.
My bonnet is no longer on a crane Medi1. I took it off a crane some years ago and now I keep it mounted in my budding room. My bonnet is cast aluminum with shatter proof glass. My light is focused directly on my entire grow which is a 6 foot by 6 foot skirted off with black and white reflective plastic area in an eight foot square room.

im still curious how it fit inside a home. shatter rpoff...no glass is shater proof..maybe resiatnt not proof...that means cant break. most hoods have the same type glass anyways with temprtered glass or the heat would blow the glass.
you have a 6 foot sq room and rows of 5 it says before...5 what plant or light? cant see 5 lights in a 6x6. do you have any journals or pics..never seen any yet....or pics of this crane in the house...

People use streetlight bonnets, do you see them taking home the pole it came from. Aren't you the guy that thinks it's best to seal off all the holes and use a big blower to suck all the air out of your growroom. Not only do they require proper lighting they require proper air to breath also.

When I first got on here nobody believed cloning could be done with a humidity dome. There are even threads that have been started that claim it can't be done. I've since been proven to be correct since then. Lava rock is fifty cents a pound, stop your grippin' and prove me wrong.

You want to put light as close as possible without burning the plant. You also have to take your grow ops foot print into consideration. Placing a light too close limits the amount of light your plants on the outer edges will be able to get.

i love Humidty domes , That and rapid rooters with dutch master's replicator , well i just did my first cuttings and i got 100 % success . You can tell the cuttings love the humidity , and the propagation dome that i got from the hydro store fits tightly and has vents so you can get them air whenever you like . As for the original post , i run my air cooled 600 with the fan right at the end of the reflector , the thing sucks air major ! i got my top canopy at about 6 inches and the girls seem to do just fine , i did the mistake of letting my og get to the glass and she did not like !!! so yea Thats about as close as im going now . it really does make a difference . The 600 will only reach down to a certain point and the more you utilize your spectrum the better .

I am a first timer with about 2 years of literature pushing me to week 6 of my first real flowering phase .

oh realy...i work in the horti field and we wont carry them. so to you its the best not others. of course it covers a wide erea...its not directing it down like we want cause the hood is small so light goes all over.
you could tell straight away ....lol...funny dood....so out of curiousity whats one of them cost. and by the way. i woprk also for researchers to prove or dissprove these kinda of theories.
if its so hot an item why isnt it all over the market then. i dont see any of them over here for sale in any shops
I can't continue in good faith to have this conversation with you, the fact that you had to google a dutch poot yet you work in the horti industry, more like the hobby side of things.

I run 25 clones in my system all the time. I have people begging for that chunk of cheese and down the street they can get a whole oz of bud for $175, and they know it.
Is your shoulder ok? Just wondering if you hurt it patting yourself on the back or not. lol
