:weed: hey Everybodyyy. My plant is about 8 feet wide and 5 ft tall. i started flowering about 3 weeks ago, but not sure:bigjoint:.

I have a few lower branches that are very spindly with maybe not even a .2 of bud on them.

I was wondering would it hurt my plant if i cut those few lower very spindly growth branches off so that it will make my top colas grow more?

8ft x 5ft?! thats awesome. you should post a pic
you're not sure when you started your 12/12 light cycle?
2-3 weeks is the perfect time to do your bottom cleanup pruning ( at the end of 2 is what i like)
i clean up the bottom 1/3 or so (meaning-totally remove or remove all the budding sites)

so ya def prune those bottom branches and you'll be focusing that energy into the better tops

Its ok to Prune dead and dying stuff or things really low on the plant just remember that Anytime you cut someting off thats not dead your stressing the plant a little so just be aware of that and also trimming 1/3 of a plant is the cut off of how much you wanna trim you never trim more then 1/3 a plant and that goes for any plant trees what ever so if you do trim 1/3 just know your right on the edge of trimming it too much and it will stress the plant a little i would start by trimming less than 1/3 but thats just me

i should say i clean up the bottom third progressively throughout the first 3 weeks and lately never the fan leaves until they're dead
i agree, fan leaves= more energy
