Great drying method

Well this is for those of us that are in the auto body industry or if you know someone who is. Tha paint booth. I hung part of my latest harvest in the paint booth Saturday morning about 2 OZ just to see if it worked. Sure enough it worked awesome. My buds are all finished. You put the booth on a really low setting. Ours run low at 110 F. They also replace the air every 3 sec. 1 and 1/2 days later and my bud is dry enough for curing.

Only 2 issues with using a down draft paint booth..You need dark rooms so no lights or windows and you want temps less then 100 or your thc breaks down and you loose potency...but it is fun to go in the booth and do some clear coating without ya mask sometimes lol...FilthyFletch

Well the shop was dark for Sat. and Sun. No light anywhere. And I thought THC started to break down at hotter than that. I thought it was at 140 F. But then again you probably know more than I do. I hope its less than 100 F I live in Texas its only under 100 F for about three days a year it seams like. Although it is cold right now.

to get the fullest potential out of the pot, you don't want to let the temperature get above 80 or it speeds the the degrading of the THC

id be worried about contamination of the herb. clear coat is nasty stuff, well the hardening agent is. anysafe guards against that

ok ppl cant stress this enough who the fuck waits anywhere between 3 and 5 months then just gos and fucks the drying processno offence ppl but put in a dark room and hang it let that shit dry dont touch it nothing just look for bud rot after a week to 2 its ready for curing not hard if u quick dry ur crop will taste like ass for one two go way down in potency and 3 cause u watsed 5 months allmost dont want to ruin the taste u got to smoke it after all unless u eat

THC begins to break down at 29C/84F. The paintbooth got just a tick too warm. Otherwise, if it was darkened and limited to 84F, the paintbooth would be great for drying a harvest from a grow about the size of a football field.

haha yes, we have used the drying bays to dry some bud.. tried it once but didn't like the taste...

I like to go with the old method used for more than 5000 years... cut the bitch... and hang it. wait till its ready then smoke it.

That's because the drying bay was too hot. Cannabis resin, while tarry, can easily be evaporated with sufficient heat- works in your bong, donit? The excessive air temp evaporated some part of the resin and left you with a nice bag of cellulose (the main building block of most plants) to smoke. Cellulose isn't at all tasty to smoke, but the perfumey, resin vapor you get from burning good buds usually covers it up.
