Thanks man. Did you treat your plants with Potassium? The more I looked at it, the more I think it is that. I have had a chaotic last two weeks, so I couldn't look at your plant like I had intended.

Great thread.. i just found this and have read everything. quick question regarding the Azomite. Ive never heard of it before. do you only add it when you transplant or do you add it fromthe get go? also how much are you using when you transplant? I noticed you said you were going to use it throughout the remainder of your grow.. how come?

Thanks for subscribing. I went to the hydroponics shop near me and I asked about micro-nutrients and their place in growth. After listening to the guy for a few minutes, he referred me to Azomite. If you remember high school and the Periodic Table of Elements, Azomite covers a certain portion of the table that is responsible for ground based nutrients. Azomite is found only in Utah and is from volcanic rock. I am leary about using anything before transplant, so I used it when I transplanted. A larger pot creates more room for error, so if the plants didn't like the azomite then it could survive easier. My plants love it! Everytime I use it, a day or two later the plant explodes and does so for the next few days until I feed them again. Any more questions, feel free to ask.

No update today on the plants. I did make a CO2 system today. I am going to give the yeast a chance to get cranking before the lights come back on in the morning. I will post an update tomorrow after I finish my exam.

I think I used two tablespoons to a gallon when they had two sets of true leaves. Now, I use a 1/2 cup or more, mixed in with the other nutrients. It's good stuff.

Here are the pics for today. The kandy Kush is going to have some awesome bud growth! I have the main stem growing at a 45 degree angle and it looks as though it will get plenty of light. The BBG is getting difficult to manipulate because the stem is extremely thick. I might have to scrog it because the LST is proving difficult. I will probably LST the KK still. The plants were looking a little sad, so I fed them. All I know is the sea-bird guano works, but it is some foul smelling shit...literally!

Thanks for the comment. I am trying to do this without topping, but I might be left with no choice. The only way to learn is to do and read. The only thing about reading and not doing is you cannot sometimes separate fact from opinion.

Here are today's pics. The last pic is the Kandy Kush and I think I have some sort of nutrient deficiency in addition to my fan blowing too hard and drying out the leaves. Red Stems, drooping-thin leaves and leaf curling...i treated it earlier in the grow for Mg, so I did it again just in case. It looks like it could be P this time. If anyone can tell by the last pic, let me know. It absolutely should not be N or P, as my fert is 10-10-2 combined with 7-5-2. Potassium? Other than this so far minor setback, things are still on the up and up. I am pondering slapping the HPS in there tomorrow and scale back the lights for a week to 14-10.

Well, I was getting pretty frustrated with the Kandy Kush. It seems to be very phosphorous hungry. It was having red stems and alot of droopy, folding leaves. I thought it might have been (K), as my fertilizer combo did not have a very high amount. Today, I decided to go ahead and get some bloom fertilizer to fix the problem. It is organic and rated 5-30-30. I figured if it was either P or K, then I would have it covered. Here are the pics. The KK is the sad looking one and the BBG is the robust, happy one. The photos are right after I did a foliar spray with the solution diluted 65%. That is why the leaves are sagging a little more than were already.

No, I haven't and twice a week. I am sure it was a combo of overfertilizing and high ph causing nute lockout. I flushed it with Culligan and the leaves have their natural texture back although the leaves are still folded. They are not looking nearly as bad now. The ph of the soil was in the 8s! The BBG is thriving though and looks even better since I added the P and K this afternoon. I am gonna switch to my hps tomorrow and start flowering. This will accomplish two things for me. 1. It will keep the room much warmer (it could stand to be a few degrees warmer). 2. It will dry out the soil from the flush quicker than the flouros would. I have decided to do a scrog with both instead of the LST. The flowering periods are near the same. This was a huge crisis and hopefully, a crisis averted.

I think the scrog is a great idea with this strain, my buds are already getting pretty heavy but I'm just going to steak her and tie the buds off this time around..

I have got pics, but will put them up after I get back from Sunday dinner. Smelley, the KK rebounded and was standing tall this morning! The tips are still pointed down a bit, but the folding reversed itself.

I have just switched to my 400W HPS and now it's flower time! I have gotta get my net up for the scrog because I know how fast plants grow under the Hortilux HPS. If I wait too long then it will be too late. Well, here are the pics after all.

Brought the plants under the HID last night I really like this light, but my power bill might not. Anyway, I decided to top both plants. I got scissor happy. I trimmed a bad fan leaf from each plant and decided...what the hell, snip snip! I think it might work out better since I am gonna scrog or tie them down. I can't wait to see those first white hairs. I know people are gonna look at the KK and say, "what happened?" I had a super high pH and phosphorus became locked out. I have pics of what a phosphorus deficiency looks like from ph lockout. The Blueberry Gum is looking absolutely freakin' fabulous! I gave both plants a watering and nutrients. No more Dr. Earth and guano, as the nitrogen is too high and the mycorrhizae was killing my pH level. Any higher, and it would have became caustic! I switched to a 5-30-30. I need phosphorus and potassium. I put in a teaspoon of Azomite as well. I checked my soil pH before adding nutes and it was 7.0, so I mixed my water and nutes with pH down which measured 6.0. It should work out rather nicely and hopefully balance out around 6.5...crossing my fingers. Here are the pics...some feedback would be appreciated.

Third pic is my temp and humidity on my grow. I picked up some bone meal today for it's phosphorus and calcium value. The Kandy Kush is recovering nicely. I trimmed the tips off the fan leaves.

I like Fox Farm stuff -- they put lots of biologically active organics in their soils / ferts. You could put some of their soil into other mixes (even in your veggie garden) to release these beneficial and disease-protective agents. That would keep it low-budget over several grows. Looks like you got it handled though -- great mix of stuff. I never heard about "Azomite" before, it sounds good. I have used bone meal before and it seems to help.
