I plan on mostly indicas but I love the stone of a sativa. My first plant will be white widow followed probably by snow white and white rhino. Also want to go with some kush and maybe some blueberries like norther blue down the road.

Good point with the topping. I would probably just bend them over if they get to close to the light and train them a bit if needed. If I flower young at less than a foot, I should be able keep most shorter plants under 3 feet.

Any idea how long I can keep a clone small in veg for? Ideally, if I can go 8 weeks that would be awesome....I can cut a cutting, veg it while the orginal plant flowers and then just replace it.

You can keep a plant in veg as long as you want but keep in mind when you pur it into bloom (12/12) it will triple in size (average)... Thats why for indoor grows I like everything to be "controlled and manageable", sativa's and hybrids get too dang tall and or bushy for my taste.. I like the sativa high as well, but I keep those girls outdoors...

So for my indoor stuff I'm all about the whites and indica's (as pure as I can get em).. And often if you play with your harvest times (get a good microscope) clear-cloudy-amber trich's, you will get different highs...

Get yourself a couple whites and give it a go...

Thanks again Reef....Outdoors in my neighborhood is tough but I will brainstorm something. Perhaps a nice attic grow in the future. You have been a great help and I finally figured out to do the rep thing so I gave you what I could.

I am growing rhino and show white, i've also grown ww a number of times..

Sometimes both the Rhino and WW can get a little tall, the snow white has been my favorite... but good choices in all 3....

I like the white strains for many reasons, especially the ease in growing and cloning.. strong genetics.. the rhino was a tad finicky (didnt clone as easily as the ww and snow white).

Nirvana is a god seedbank that has some specials going on right now..

I have checked out the nirvana seeds though attitude I believe. I want to go with fem seeds since I am low on space and don't have the extra room start a bunch only to keep one of each strain I want to grow. What sucks are the fem seeds are $10 each. Think I'm gonna grab 2 fem seeds from about 5-6 strains and just start one of each with a back up. Attitude gives you a bunch of freebies which is nice but Im just not sure how good the freebies are...guess I'll find out.

As soon as I start my closet I will start a journal her on RIU and hopefully will have some good progress to share...

Sounds good, add me as a friend so I can keep an eye out for your journal.. I've heard good things about attitude so i'm sure it will all work out well.

Your added...that was easy enough.

I should have the closet built in about 2 weeks...won't get started til next week after vacation. Gonna run it for a few days to monitor temps and ciruclation before dropping some plants. I will start a journal for sure.

Just have to research some nutrient formulas to get started. I plan on using GH nutes...they be plain jane but they have been around a long time for reason. The DWC from seed thread you linked talked about the Lucas formula...I'm gonna look into that for a start.

GH is good nutes, a couple more are BC, Dutch Master, (AN is overhyped imo, but they have some good additives I use), If you plan to use RO water (I suggest doing so), then get yourself some cal/mag..

I havn't put much though in to RO water. I used tap water several years back when I grew...never got to see my end results but I used tap water that sat for a day for the bleach to evaporate and the plants looked great until they got chopped by a mean person...

Other than the PH balancing...what are there any other advantages to RO water?

I've heard one of the smallest growing strains is Bagseed. I've seen photos of it inside those stealth PC case grow ops.

Bagseed is actually a strain? I always assumed it meant just that...some random seeds taken from a bag of some mid range quality bud....NO SHIT...I have to look into that. Thanks.

Bagseed isn't a strain, it's seeds you find in your weed. Most of the time you don't know the strain that you're buying so it's hard to classify the plant that will come up. Some people tend to collect them too so grabbing a seed from your "bagseed" stash could turn out to be anything.

I was fortunate enough to find a seed in some Rootbeer Kush that I got from a dispensary. Although I know the strain it could come out to be a weird pheno, so I still call it bagseed.

Use LST, Scrog or Bending and FIM/Top appropriately and 5ft is reasonable space to grow in. Just flower plants after like 2-4 weeks veg at most that way they only get like 3-4 ft tall. I would not even consider mothers with your amount of space. You look like your planning to have 3 different areas anyway why not just take clones off your veg right before you put them into flowering and do it perpetual style so you dont waste a bunch of space with mothers. I had 4 mothers for while and then realize I can do it without them no problem. I clone the pieces i take from Topping aswell really make having mothers pointless. Anyway thats how me and few people I know do it and works well.

Blueberry is known to to turn hermaphadite so unless your looking to stars a seed bank of your own- keep your eyes open
