Cannabutter Ratios Per Person

Hey, I couldn't find any good answers in the search engine so my bad if there is an answer im new at this site.

Anyways, I wanted to take a break from smokin my medication and wanted to make some nice brownies.

I was wondering how much cannabis to use per person in a brownie batch. I was thinking about .4 or .5 of some pretty dank heads per person with 4 or 5 grams in 8 or 10 brownies.

Another question is what is a ration of how much butter to use for a certain amount of weed or does it really matter that much.

It would be great to know this stuff, thank you.

A good rule of thumb is to use 1oz of bud for 1lb butter. So if a brownie recipe calls for 1 stick butter, just use 1/2 cup cannabutter. Then when the brownies are done, eat a brownie, and wait two hours to see how it affected you. Adjust as necessary.

depending on how you want to make it, I have seen recipes that range from 1 oz of bud up to 3 oz per pound. I have also made cannabutter with the 1 and 2 oz recipes and between those two I think if your gonna do it go for 2 oz per lb at least, now you don't have to make a lb you can do a half or quarter the trick is to find a premix brownie box that needs 1 or 2 sticks of butter, most recipes I use only call for 1 stick so I like the stronger. For reference BOBB or Black Out Bud Butter(google for recipe) uses 8.3 oz per 2.5lbs coming up to the 3 oz per lb mark which from what I understand will knock your socks off, but I have yet to make up a batch of that, its next on my list.

I just use more when I do, although I rarely do anymore.

Yeah but he uses sugar leaf; hardly the quantity of thc as bud.

I've been making canna butter and canna oil for years now and have settled on a recipe that works especially well if your only using only small amount of finished product/oil in baking.I make a large amount and freeze the final product.

2 ounces of decent bud, not fan leaves, hand rubbed until it is a fine leaf, no big pieces.
16 oz of rectified butter (that is drained of all impurities). Or 16oz/liter of olive oil, a 1 to 8 ratio. Some people use a 1/4 ratio. Personal preference here.
2 quarts of H2O
Cook on low heat, covered, about 3 hrs, do not boil or let get above 220 degrees as then you start loosing the full spectrum of the cannabis cannaboids. (I do not recommend pressure cookers as temp gets too high). I use a crock pot, low.
Squeeze the fluid out of the wet pile of refuse with a strainer and use a potato ricer or wine press(for large amounts) to get all the fluid out.

Put the liquid concoction in Refrigerator/freezer for separation of the oil and water.

Package in the amounts you will use/bake with and freeze.

Be aware that the bud has to be absolutely dry when you make canna olive oil or there could be some botulism beasties lurking in you oil. Botulism is killed by boiling for 10 min.But then you loose the full spectrum of the bud. This oil should then be cooked in your food or you can rub it on your body( temples) and get same effect without fear of botulism.

ive done this many times and i use 1 ounce to a pound of butter if you can find europeien butter its even better higher butter fat content thc binds better but i use 1 ounce of shuag and they come out intense if you use better weed then you can use less weed they take 45min to a hr to kick in and when they do damn

If you just want to make a quick brownie mix here's an easy way, I do this when I run out of butter.

Buy a brownie mix that calls for oil, I like the smarties one.

Pour oil in fry pan turn on low, LOW heat. add what ever and heat on LOW for 20 min. mixing often. If you heat it to high you blow-it. Keep on low and be patient.
After 20 min. pour through gold coffee filter and use a spoon to press the material down to get all the oil out. Make sure it's w hat they call for. Top up if needed. You will have a dark liquid let cool now make you brownies according to the instructions. The only place to fuck up is heating the oil. LOW heat.

Now as for dose everyone is different, it is better to add some after an 1 1/2 hrs. than stuff your pie hole, than when it hits, you freak like a little girl. If that happens eat and drink lots of fruit juices or go sleep.

I use 5 g of finger hash in an 9x9 pan and cut into 18 sq.s. or I use 8 g of good bud.

It's common for first timers who do to much to have panic attacks, anxiety and thinking there going to die or wishing they would die. Lot's of first timers never do it again. Go slow...
