High Output CFL lights

I am cheap/poor, and want to use cfl lights if possible. I am referring the screw in type type. They have a 125 and 250 watt version , and smaller ones too. The 125 watt is supposed to compare to a 300-400 watt bulb.
A 600 watt HPS will output around 90,000 lumen.
The 125 watt cfl only states 14,000 lumen.

I want to know if this is accurate, and if I really need (5) 125 watt cfl to equal one 600 watt HPS?

youll need that many to get the same lumen but you wont have ANYWHERE near the light penetration

Thanx I was afraid of that. Currently I am using one with side lights as well for all over light. I am gonna buy a 600 watt hps soon tho when money permits. This first grow is like a test to see if I can even grow it.
Having yellowing currently.

you can grow with those bulbs all day long just dont expect to be able to grow as many plants or have as high of yields as equal wattage HID light

thanx, I am working on getting at least one HPS right now.

Looks to me like a ph or nute problem, try flushing with bottled water with no nutes.

Lots of people have luck with CFLs and produce quality smoke but if your shooting for a decent size, multi-plant setup then HID is the way to go.

And that plant looks like a bad pheno too lots of three bladed leaves and malformed areas.

What has the light schedule been on this plant and what soil are you using?

I used bottled water 1st without nute b4 this started. I now introduced cal mag to the water and no change.

I used Miracle gro organic choice garden soil.

What is bad pheno?

I got the plant at 12" tall and it was 24 hr light on t5 till I got it, now 18 hr on cfl.
