Straglers

I've got a crop of 9 new plants (12 days old) and all but two are doing fine. These two decided to stop growing after their two initial leaves unfolded from sprouting. Is it normal to have a couple straglers that take off later? Are these stunted for some reason? Should I re-seed these two? I don't want them getting too far behind the others and I'd need to re-seed right away if that's what I'm going to do too. So give me some feedback here people. See the pictures. -SilkyLittle Bastards 001.jpg

I'd give em time unless you have beans to waste. Some will always be behind the others. Even if you start more.

It looks like your lights are too far away and the plants are stretching what kind of lights are u using and what distance are they from the plants.

Using a 1000 W. HPS lamp about 20-25 inches above the plants. I just moved them down a little today. Maybe that will kick the small ones into gear.

What kind of soil are you using? Your girls shouldn't be stretching that much with that powerful of light I wonder if you are having some soil issues that is causing the slow growth.

Just some good potting soil bought at the local Home Depot. Can't remember the brand. Might have been M. Grow. But it's really only the two that are just sitting there. Just since the pictures were taken the others have grown nicely. One is a freek'n bush already. It's the same soil I used last year when I had nothing but White Widow and they turned out great. This time I've got AK, Afghan Kush, Cheese, White Widow, Barney's LSD, and Northern Lights. Quite a nice assortment. Just Barney's and one of my W.W. are stragl'n behind. I think there is such a thing as a runt plant and I've got a couple. They still might take off at any moment. As long as they're green and healthy looking, they should go. Any more suggestions, I'll listen to though.

Ok, thanks for the opinions. For my W.W. stragler I've gone ahead and planted another seed near by for back up. I might have to transplant one into another bucket if they both decide to grow and I'll end up with 10 plants. If the stunted one just remains stunted,...he'll be replaced. Look for pictures of my final crop around March 9th.

If nothing else grows, the movement has. AZ just went Medical. 15 states now.
