ive got a bottle of co2 £8.50 per refill, boyttle outside room pumped in the top through wall. Room is completely sealable so i give it a 15min blast with all extractor fans off and leave my babies drinking it up for 3 hours before switching back on - manual but cheap!

i ment mean mickey mouse set up ur going to get more out of a fart then that yeast crap thingy seriously vent your room with out side air will do you better 300 ppm

You know what im going to make this 2 lt bottle shit and see if my co2 monitor will even sniff it
and set things straight you be sitting there shakin the fck out of 2 lt bottle non stop
Ya know it gets old listening to people trashing things they haven't tried, not everyone has $800 to drop on something as simple as CO2 enrichment. It depends on your setup plain & simple. If you have a large grow or one of these tent setups or 10bazillion cfm fans turning the air over every 10 seconds then no, sugar/yeast is not going to work. But if you have a small, sealed setup and "reasonable" ventilation sugar/yeast generation can work quite well as can small CO2 bottle/regulator/solenoid setups for 1/4 the price. Here are a couple of pics showing a setup that works very well in a ~24 cuft space with the vent fans on, no shaking required and last on average about 10 days.

edit: here's the recipe I use: use 4 1/2 cups sugar and 1 packet of dried yeast (2 1/4 tsp) for each gallon jug plus a 1/4 tsp of baking soda to "kick start" the process, lasts about 10 days on average. Always use warm (not hot) water and don't fill the jug completely. I usually fill it 1/2 way w/ the warm water, mix in the sugar then top off up to about the 3/4 level (right where the jug starts to taper in) then I add the yeast and finally the baking soda.

green pads: haven't tried them myself but rosenthal mentions them in his latest grow guide; they sound like they could be a cheaper option and i'm enticed by how easy they look to use.

these guys are claiming one pad for a 4x4 tent will boost your C02 to 1000 ppm for at least a week, 5$ a pad, not too shabby.

anyone have experience using these???

hahaha sleep in your tent. lol funny.. well if you want to add co2 to your young ones i would start by everytime you are working with them start talking to them since we all release co2 when we exhale. i do this all the time and they love it when you talk to them, i mean cmon its a living thing thats my way of looking at it. And another thing i would do which helps out as well is get some dry ice. A lot of people will say to boil some water and then put the dry ice inside and it will release a lot of co2. but the way ive done it with same results is that i would just get a small container or dish or whatever you want to place the dry ice inside, then i would just simply put it behind a oscillating fan or regular fan that is pointing to the plants and thats it. just make sure the fan sits higher than the plant does and that the container you are using is at the top of the rear of the fan that way the co2 will fall on top of the plants when its blowing. i do this every 3,4,5 days and it works very well.
