nope...not a bit of soil in there yet...only issue it had was from when it first grew into the res...i just had plain tap water in it...i wasnt using the dwc yet...had just built it and was testing it out...making sure i had no leaks,checking that the pumps was working good...had nothing growing it...the ph was at 7.2 since i never adjusted it since i wasnt really growing in it yet...and from one night of the roots growing into the water...it fried it...lost all my fan leaves...so i changed the res..got it ph'd at 5.8 and then a week later i tossed some bloom nutes in on its res change...its just now finally recovering and budding normal again...almost lost her

hell..im just learning myself...first time growing dwc for me....in a way i wish she never grew into the dwc...she would be friggin huge right now...at the same time..i like not having to water it 1-2 times everyday.hell..if the ph was right she might have exploded...i thought about trying it again now that ive got the dwc setup right...ive got 2 new ones in party cups...tempted to try it again

hell yeah... lemme know how it goes... i agree with the hving to water as much... i think that dwc would be more self suffecient than soil... more of a "set ya timers and fuh-gidda bout it" kinda things... well slightly "fuh-gidda bout it" i still liketo check on my garden whether i have to or not...

It would be nice to just check on everything and give a nice check of the PH. rather then checking the ph multiple times and mixing nutes every other day. I doesn't really bother me but I have the time right now. Once I start working fulltime again I would like to have the knowlege to just hook everything up on timers and check on them once a day to make sure everythings good!

How many more weeks you thinking on party girl DJ?

thats sorta where im at now as much as i can be with soil... i water/feed every other day.. besides that, i dont have to really check on her anymore.. but i do regardless... i love to look at her...

thanks...the best part is that I get to put in another box in another 14-16 days...I am going to build a plat form in the back of the box for the smallest that come into the box, that way the lighting wont be an issue. I think this is actually so much easier to manage so far, spacially, because they are so well contained and just little bud sticks instead of huge ass unruly plants in a small space.

they are all self-contained in 20oz cups...and I trimmed all lateral branching so they are pretty much just vertical. some have wide fan leave spans, but nothing really too obstructing.

I thought the 600 was a fast moving thread but it's got nothing on this one. Way to go Smelly.

I considered doing a grow like this too but haven't yet. I've got 4 plants going 12/12 from seed but they're in 1gal pots. A while back I took some cuttings from a flowering plant, rooted them in RW and stuck them back in the flower room in a E&F system. They all had little buds forming on them when I took the cuttings and once in the flower room they seemed to just pick back up where they left off and about 6 weeks later I had some little nugs from them.

Not sure but I think I got somewhere around 3-5g from each.

I like the pic you posted a few pages back. Pretty cool looking.

The only thing keeping me from doing something similar is my limited plant count allowable by law. I worry that if for some reason the popo were to drop by my place, they'd see that I was over my limit. I'm pushing it right now as it is with how many I've got going.

Thanks, Dez! Those are some great looking little colas you have there for throwing them straight into flowering like that!! Very impressive. If you start some up let us know so we can check them out! Thanks for stopping in and sharing, +REP

I will. I've got some clones in the humidity dome trying to root right now, maybe I'll stick one in a party cup and throw it into 12/12 as soon as it's rooted in the RW cube it's in. The others were clones from a flowering plant and these are from mature vegging plants so it would be interesting to see the difference.
