what should i pick for my room

Hello everyone im new to riu. Iv looked into hydro alot and got lights fans and stuff the room is ready to roll. I can build a hyrdo system easy but my room hieght is a problem. The room is about 6 foot high then 4x5 foot wide. I might just go with soil to save on hieght
please help me decide :wall: ??????????????????????????????????????

I have a 600wat light
hps and mh bulbs
white widows fem seeds

So would making a hydroponics system waste too much hieght in a 6 foot tall room?

Depends on how tall u want those ladies. I personally would go with soil with the white widow. But think about it u can veg until u want to flower. Once flowering begins your plants shouldn't get much taller but focus on flowering. You might save on space if u don't go with more than a 3 gallon pot for final transplant. Im going for 3 to 4 foot tall plants and have another room for veg maybe cloning too

have you ever grown before? Flowering is when they do grow tall fast. white widow will triple in height in flowering.

you will need to start flowering at about 1 ft high to keep them around 3 ft tall.

as for hydro, it doesn't really use much more height than soil. It just depends on how you want to grow basically.

Yea.. Especially in hydro. My babies were 1ft. 30days from clone in a DWC system now 3.5ft in some areas :) with Tying. Hydro Produces Bigger Plants Faster. Go with soil if your really scared of the height issue

First grow O my flower room is 4 x 8 foot not 4x5
I have some buckets a pump and a bag of hydroton its just the hieght cause i dont want to top them or any stress.
from the top of the hydro system to the light would be about 4&1/2 foot
what do you think just 1 or 2 weeks veg then in to 12/12 would i have enough room between the light?

go hydro, doesn't make a difference to height, even in soil you would have to switch cycles at the same height. I've witnessed bigger, fatter, faster buds with hydro and have never had any disease issues. Takes daily checking but when it's your fave hobby who cares! Veg until 1ft then switch, shouldnt get bigger than 3 ft. also top them to keep them low if you want, i've got 6 colas on some of my crop;)

i thought that i would chime in here.. if youve never grown much of anything before, and this is your first attempt at taking care of any living breathing plant, i would also suggest a soil grow .. soil is much more forgiving than hydro is, and will allow a newbie grower to make those inevitable mistakes without killing the plant right quick.. also, like already mentioned, hydro takes much more maintaning than soil grows.. say you start a hydro grow, and you find out that you don't have all the time to devote to your garden as you had originally figured.. this would be a major problem in a hydro setup, but much less so in soil.....
i'm not saying that i've never seen a newb grower start out in hydro, and take to it like a duck in water, just saying that soil is simply easier for a newb and will allow you to get a feel for growing and allow you to determine if growing is indeed for you or not without the need to drop some money on all the needed equipment and pumps and etc for a hydro grow..
