CFL touching surface?

Hi, new poster, wondered if you guys could help me out with something. I have a 125w CFL (blue) hung vertically in a converted cabinet, it's not the only CFL in there and the only place I can put it means it's about an inch to an inch and a half away from the mylar coated interior wall of the cabinet. Is that safe? I'm working on getting it up to 3 inches away and will have a clip-on fan aimed at it, but in principle I'd still like to know if that poses any danger, either as a fire hazard or to the health of the bulb itself. Thanks for any help!

Should be fine. I have a grow tent and when I pack my 85w in that they touch the mylar with no problems.

However, a CFL that big, make sure they don't touch your plants.

Wow, that was quick! Thanks guys. I'm still going to try and get it 3 inches between bulb and wall, but it's good to know it's not a massive concern.
