OK these autos are about a week and 6 days and i honestly think they are growing to slow compared to the other pics of plants ive seen on the net at this age. . . . . . . . NEED SOME ADVICE! ! ! ! ! !

i modified a old college fridge. . . . . .for grow
its Miracle grow soil (its ok ive grown other plants with this type)
purified water/ and some times tap water
24 hour light 2x 24wattCFL
the skinny leaf one has two yellow spots and i cut of the false leaves. . . . . .
the other two are ok

BUT AGAIN BOTH HAVE SLOW GROWTH PROBLEMs. . . . I THINK OR AM I JUST INPATIENT. . . . . . .

They look a little dry but otherwise ok. The second pics shows what looks like heat burn but I see new growth so it should be ok.

Considering what you are growing with, yes, they're on time.
do you think a different light/darkness ratio would help speed up the growth process. . . . . . like ive been reading and some say if you emulate what "mother nature" would do the plants would just fall in line naturally(no delays). . . . . .like now the lights are on 24:0 should i like change it to 18:6

I've got a Hindu Kush going as well. You can check it out on my thread. It's at Day 22 now.

Best of Luck with your grow.

I have a different strain then you (Snowryder), but it is an autoflower.

Here's what mine looked like at 6 days old from seed...

And here she is at 14 days old from seed.

I would say shes a tad slow. However, many say that autos start slow then take off!

Out of curiosity, do you have a fan on her?

Also, why you cut off the leafs?

Hey Dude,
My Easy Riders are Lucy (Easy Ruder 1 ) whicj I stunted by doing a few noobie mistakes, and Ruby (Easy Rider 2).
My third one is Henrietta the Hindu Kush. She started budding at Day 17.
I had cut the just the dead matter away from the leaves just a few days ago after they got scorched during a heat massacre. Temps at 44 degrees Celsius.
I read that this just cuts away the plant from trying to repair itself from non viable leaves anyway and it focuses on new growth instead.
I do have fans on my plants, and you can see that the stems are thick as two bricks . Also it helps to keep down the heat from the CFLs.

I'd say that yours looks just fine even for 14 dyas. They don't get very big remember.

how deep are those bowels? the root needs to go deeper to grow faster. I start my seeds off in a shot glass then move them to a big massive pot as soon as i see the root at the bottom of the shot glass. Maybe you need more depth. Also whats the soil you are using. It almost looks like you went out into the yard and dug some up with some mulch.

The 4th week. . . . . . :leaf:

do you know what the stuff is forming where leaf stem and main stem meet it looks like hairs or buds idk. . . . . . .NEW TO THIS
G'day mate,
The bigger plant in the front looks like it's just new growth, it looks like this is the Hindu Kush, is that correct? They don't grow very big but it should be bushier than this at 4 weeks. May be light issues (lumens).
Keep off the nutrients until they are well established, or they will become stunted.
If possible throw up some closer pictures in better definition and let us know what soil/lights/watering schedule you have going. And talk to your plants, or play them some classical music.

close-ups :leaf: :dunce:
G'day Mate,
I reckon they plants could do with more light. My grow has been totally CFLs but as they progressed I've added more and more lights. At 4 weeks (and a bit) those autos should be bushier than that and it appears they are stretching to find more light too. I started mine at 2 x 48 watt CFLs.
They Miracle grow soil I believe has nutrients aplenty in there already so it'd probably be best to get real conservative on the watering, maybe wait until the soil has come away from the cup a little before re-watering.
As for the new growth - at this age my Hindu had already started bud formation so yours could be doing the same but it's become retarded again due to the light. My two cents worth.
I hope your Kush gets bigger than mine, I had dramas with heat and slowed it's growth considerably.

One Love,

Yarndi.
