People partially break stems or split them to increase yield. If it's just a split, you will be okay. The change in color of the stem might be strain related, I've had dark tan, green and light green, but nothing I'd call brown.

Supercropping is outdated and should not be used anymore. Lst gives you the same result but there is no risk of damaging the plant. I hope your plant heals (pics would help) but next time go with something less risky (topping, fimming, lst).

if the stem above where you super cropped has not died yet, leave it alone, and it should be fine.It should be healed and strong in a week or so.If your gonna supercrop, take your time. There's alot to lose.

why did you do it? because you wanted a thicker stem for better uptake abilities or because you wanted to effect height and/or because you wanted the plant to branch out differently?
When you supercrop you need to make sure you pinch and roll the right way so you dont split the stalk (which it sounds like you did do) and/or damage the inside of the stalk excessively. it will heal for sure(well, recover is probally a better word), these plants can survive having every single branch suppercropped(i even did it in flowering phase), some more than once per branch. I like to mess around and always keep experimental plants . to be honest it wasnt nearly as bad as i thought and they recovered pretty quickly and ended up being the biggest. stunned em for about 3 weeks and then they took off again. I wouldnt do it to a non-experimental plant though.

like i said before, your plant is not going to die. Next time check with us BEFORE you decide to do something your unsure of.

Yeah supercropping is outdated, a bit. But then again I supercrop the shit out of my plants. I also do the lst thing at times, but I've been doing alot of expirementing with fimming topping also. Its natural for your stem to turn a bit dark when you pinch it, it will heal in time. I only pinch my stems abouyt halfway through when I supercrop so that the upper part of the branch doesnt lay completely on itself folded over, but just enough so that it stays bent from the pinch. I have my vegging plants under t5's and they usually start turning their branches back upwards in a matter of hours.

That plant in the middle row all the way on the left, is some og kush I have that hasn't had anything done to it, besides supercropping. If you ask me it looks like lst but its not. It comes down to what you want to do to your plants, the majority of growing is learning, I say you keep experimenting with different methods and see what works best.
If you want to keep trying the supercrop technique, don't do it I recommend doing it above the 3rd or 4th node on the branches like where the circles on this picture are.

Me personally, I've been doing different things to different branches on each plant. For example, I might fim on branch, top another and supercrop a third.
Apologies if my post seems a little bit rambly, I've been smoking on some gdp for the past couple hours lol
