Just a small update here to conclude this journal... our final harvest for the Pineapple Chunk was processed over the first weekend of October (the 2nd) and had to be done since we were leaving on vacation and had to move the new round of Acapulco Gold into the flowering tent before we left for a few weeks. The PC didn't look great when we harvested it and had quite alot of dried leaf mixed in with it. We have it curing as is for now, and have been cleaning the dry leaf out of it as we bust it up to smoke. It's not bad actually, but unfortunately doesn't vaporize very well as it's extremely hard to get ALL of the dry leaf out of it before it's ground up, so the vapor tasted a bit 'roasted', even at lower temps on the volcano. We've been rolling it into joints though and it's really not bad that way. We ended up with about 4-5 ounces of PC from the 4 plants, and just under 1 ounce per plant of the BlueBerry and Bubba-Kush.
The Bubba-Kush really stands out 'taste-wise' with it's fuelly flavor which we're not used to after all the Vanilla Kush, BlueBerry and Red Dragon we've been smoking - so unfortunately we're not liking the taste as much for that reason but it has a stellar stone effect which is worth the off-taste. Perhaps it just needs more time to sure before the taste improves...?
The BlueBerry is really a great smoke - extremely smooth and sweet tasting with a nice full-body buzz. I think with the pH issue I had with my water, I'm lucky to get what it did from the BlueBerry - but it proved itself to be the most resilient plant regardless of the growing conditions. We're quite happy with it's result considering the circumstances, and I'm left curious to see what kind of result I would have gotten if the water was correctly pH'd....so we may try it again sometime. I was lucky enough to find 2 good seeds in one of the lower buds on this plant, so I'll maybe try it again this spring and see what we can get from those seeds.
Thanks all for following this journal! We're glad that this round wasn't a total loss - not the ideal results, but it was really hard to follow up the Vanilla Kush grow and try to compare them! We're happy with the amount we ended up with considering the circumstances and will still use everything whether it be smoked or made into edibles or hash. We didn't get any pics of the PC harvest since it wasn't very visually appealing.

Hey Dayz, nice grow man! Good to see and read that the BB came ok even with the water issues. I see you got a couple beans though, so the Hermie trait is still there like I was worried about, but 2 seed's form a plant is no concern! Like you said you can allway's give it another run!

Hey Raisin Toast! (nice nic!) I unfortunately don't have a wet weight for the PC because they dried out almost completely before I even harvested. It wasn't ideal and now we're left picking dry leaf out of the buds before we bust it up to smoke... the smoke is STILL good though!

Thanks green - I wasn't overly impressed with what we got from this strain but it really went through hell and came out not too bad regardless. I think part of the problem was the time of year and my high temps during flower. I'm thinking of dialing back to only 1 light instead of 2 in my tent to see if it helps with lower temps. Overall though, we got some decent weed from this PC, Bubba-Kush and Blueberry - each quite unique and good break from the ultra-dank Vanilla Kush we've still been smoking from our July harvest. The Acapulco Gold we have coming down in a few weeks is going to be really nice.

How long did you end up flowering your pc for? Mine are on week 13 as of today.

I think mine went for about 11 weeks but they probably should have went longer. I ran into a heat issue near the end in my grow tent and things dried out pretty bad before harvest. As a result, I ended up with some really leafy dry bud which we're still picking through to get as much dry leaf out of it before busting it up to smoke. It's still great pot but not nearly what is should have been. I don't think I would have picked this strain if i'd known it would grow so 'sativa like', but it is what it is... I just wasn't prepared to have it go that long and still need longer to finish but I had to take it down since we we're leaving on vacation back then. We ended up getting about 4.5 oz from the four PC plants.

Yeah there's one RD plant with my Acapulco Gold group - she gets a little neglected with the pics here since the AG is where it's at and I grew out the RD already earlier this year. She's a tall bitch though and because of her I have to keep the light extra high...lol. I'll try to get a few more pics of her next round as that grow finishes up - this journal however is done - already done smoking most of these PC, BB and BK...
