i need some help plz

so my plant is oh,...coming up on being about a mounth old and i would really like some tips on how to speed up growign cuz it looks preatty lame at the moment i wont lie i attached a pic so take a look and what do you recommened i do plz plz pl help asap

Read, reaserch, absorb like a sponge. All the info you need is here and by using the serch tool and following a couple grows you should pick up what you need.

Both Skunk and Theo are correct. Your plant is stretching and needs more light.

omg I have 22 days old plants from seed that have 9 bladed leafs and I only use a few CFLs... that plant looks like it grows in a closet sorry dude

yeah guys idk its just like a basic grow light my buddie gave it to me and tghis is my first plant so sorry if its not all gangster huge and pro lol but i expected to have a few se backs this is what it looks like now its been about 4 days sence last post

Don't worry about it, it's your first time and you're still learning, in fact we all are.

Try to get more lighting. CFL's are a great way to go, they're cheap and can be bought from just about ANYWHERE. Be sure to get 5000k+ color temps, but you could mix in some 2500k if you wanted. Keep the lights as close to the plant without burning it, I've had them as close as 1-2", no problems.

CFLs are Compact Flourescent, the twisty bulbs. I wouldn't switch that plant over to 12/12 yet, give it time to get some girth and grow a bit more. Generally speaking, the longer you veg, the more yield its capable of giving.

ok i just like peeped my light out its like a 17w flerecent tube grow light like the ones you get at walmart is that like not goo i mean i kno about lumina output and all the mumbo jumbo but i have like one plant and here i just post a pic of the grow area its rather small just fits plant and light

dam sorry about the over post but those little twisty bulbs are the ones you guysa are talking about right.. and what do you think is the right bulb wattage?

Yea, CFLs are the twisty bulbs. I got 6 bulbs for $12 and 3 socket y-adaptors for $6. I already had an old pool table light to throw the bulbs into but I'm sure you could get a cheap bathroom light bar at Home Depot or Lowes. I bet there are cheaper ways still, but that's how I did it. I went with 26w bulbs, actual not equivalent. I believe those are supposed to be the most efficient. It's not a shitty looking plant, it just needs more light to bring out its full 'potential', so to speak. We've all had hiccups with our grows, especially the first ones, its just a part of growing.

That's called 'stretching', and yes, its because the light was too far away. You can place CFLs and fluoros closer to the plant since they don't produce alot of heat. The strip light makes it awkward to get the right light coverage over the plant since its spread out over the length of the strip.
