The ChemD cut has the mosaic virus. This is how you KNOW you have the orig ChemD cut. I don't like calling it "TMV" since just MV seems to happen more often.

As long as you keep your tools/site clean that you clone with, you can manage it. Some plants it devestates, other like ChemD it just tags along, and twists up a few fans. Keep on bugs, as the ones that drink sap will pass on the virus also.

Happy growing.

I have this one in the attic. it is nowhere near the other plants. I always work with this plant last and do EXTREME HAND WASHING after handling the plant (which I do very little of).

do you have a cut is that how you know because i know someone i can absolutely guarantee has an original cut and i have never seen his leaves curl sideways like that... Just curious not saying its not true im just saying the symptoms have never materialized on his and he grows other girls with her and they haven't contracted anything.

So why are you smoking cigarettes near your plants? This will kill a tomato plant and will kill MJ as well. I don't think there is a cure.

First, I don't smoke tobacco. not sure how this happened. and I am not 100% certain this is a virus. However, to the best of my ability, this is the only diagnosis that fits the description. If anyone can come up with a better explaination you are welcome to post it here on this thread.

Mosaic virus has decimated squash crops, ive seen it. Yes many plants can be affected by it It can get
Into your plants through soil, so there could have been a sample in a purchased bag of soil.

IF you have an IC account this is THE thread to check out as far as MV goes, https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=177527&highlight=TMV. I would love to just copy paste everything but it is pretty comprehensive.

I was told about the chemD and MV from a member on the same site. I am trying to verify if it's just the one used in the cali connection Chem X's or what.
That sure looks like what wandering roman posts about.

I thought i would add if you have a burning desire to know, these test kits you can buy will tell you if you have TMV or any known variants.. :D:D Why use pics to guess.? Thank you tom.

Hey Blasty I just posted to the 420mag thread you started a bit, glad I found ya here. I have the exact same thing and am convinced it is TMV or some other variant. Anymore updates on how it affected flowering? I'm just over 2 weeks 12/12 and the problem seems to be getting worse in my Larry OG's. As of right now it appears the bud sites with affected leaves are forming smaller then the rest..would love to hear back from ya, gonna be pissed if it kills my yield. Not much to do but sit back and chill at this point.

:peace:

oh man... forgot about this thread. it is still green. the curving and blanching of the leaves has slowed. but so has growth. now that being said, I have had this plant in the attic without a heater. the highs are in the 70's and the lows sometimes in the 40's. I have been taking it in at night and leaving it in a closet. none of the other plants are infected so far. They have about 3-4 weeks of flower to go.

This thread is stupid. Like someone who googles a symptom and concludes they have cancer.

Occam's razor.
what an incredibly helpful message ;)

sometimes people do have cancer or TMV....so don't you think real info about a real plant disease would be helpful? i do. i'm not saying he has it or doesn't, just that TMV is real and really affects some cannabis plants.

norelco razor :p

Uh, people get TMV? I know that's not what you meant but my point is that this guy sounds like he has no idea what he's talking about.

lol help i got TMV!!! sorry, no peeps don't get TMV....TMJ sure :p

true he sounds like he doesn't know...but i figure a thread concerning it could be helpful in the greater scheme of things. for instance someone who does know shows up and sets the record straight.

part of my reason for being on the thread is that a couple of years ago, i'm pretty sure i infected a few plants i was growing by making a nicotine(tobacco) insecticide spray. it killed the mites, but left the plants sick. one in particular had classic "mosaic" patterning in the leaf. thankfully i wasn't doing a perpetual grow like i do now.

BTW, boil your tobacco if you are going to make a spray. it (nicotine) DOES kill nearly anything and is IMO underused.
