I am just ranting right now. First let me start off by saying that I am a medical marijuana patient, and I have a valid medical condition for using cannabis. I am a Marine and OIF veteran and I have been diagnosed with depression and PTSD (by the VA). I choose to use cannabis over any pharmaceutical (paxil, celexa, etc...) for many reasons. First is IT WORKS better than ANY pharmaceutical I have taken, second it is NATURAL, third I do not want to contribute one dime to pharmaceutical companies. This list could go on and on. I guess it was the cops duty in the LA area to make me feel like a criminal for having medication.

So a few weeks ago I let my friend borrow my car, no big deal. About 10 mins after I give him the keys I get a phone call from him saying he got pulled over for being on his cell phone and that he has a bench warrant and the cops are going to take him in and let me pick my car up (instead of impounding it which is cool). Ok, so I head down the street a couple blocks to where he got pulled over to pick up my car. Cops are having a field day searching it, one cops says, "we found enough weed in your car for a couple fat bong rips." I proceed to explain to him that I am a medical marijuana patient. THIS IS WHAT PISSES ME OFF, his response: "We don't recognize medical marijuana licenses in this city. Anyone can go to a quack doctor on hollywood blvd and get a mmj license." he continued on to say he COULD take me in for it, but he won't. He said he'd keep an eye out for my car and not to get caught with weed again. I could not get a word in while this fuckin fool was giving me the worst lecture of my life. Why are cops such dicks and fuckin liars? like they have some huge fuckin chip on their shoulder because I am LEGALLY allowed to smoke weed. Sorry for the rant.

Get his name and badge number.

Then call his Commander at your local precinct. Call your local councilman.

You can explain the he is denying you your rights under the color of law. (this is the bellringer)

Or if you can't stick up for yourself, call CANORML.org and give them the details.

Every time they stop the car they log mileage and location. Therefore, even without a badge number, you can still create a legitimate complaint.

I dont know if I'd bother though, why stir up more action. The one silly officer wont probably ever see your car again, CA is a huge state.

If you don't have the Name and Badge number, they will not look up the incident for YOU.

If you have the Name and Badge number, they will be obliged to investigate your report, it's the LAW.

Of course cops are liars. That is all they are good at. They are trying to uphold laws made by a govt that lies to it's citizens each and every day. If they found out you are ex-military, they would have a bigger chip on their shoulder. Many cops couldn't go to the military or were to afraid to enlist, so they became cops instead. Therefore, they will always try to screw ex-military!! They put their badge on each day and walk out their door like they are large and in charge, because the law says so. They are jealous of the fact that Americans respect soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, etc. more than them. If you commit a crime and are ex-military, there is a good chance of getting a much larger penalty. Which to me is a disgrace to the men and women that serve. At what point are Americans going to grow some balls and stand up and fight for this country that is supposedly free? We need to stop giving LEOs, politicians, and lobbyists so much power. If only the population of pro-cannabis could unite and fight for our freedoms, threaten a civil war and really stand our ground. Today, we are too afraid of big brother to make a stand and rightfully so. They will crush us like little insects because we got too comfortable with them being in charge. Our forefathers would fight for what they believe in and I think it is kind of sad we have become so weak.

Anyway, thanks for serving our country!! I figured I'd throw my rant in here too. I have a lot of respect for us men and women that can fight for The United States and our "Freedom". Hopefully, one day we will truly be "Free".

I would have laughed and been like "Really? I thought I had more. Now give me my weed back so I can go smoke said bowls." Cops(90%) are pricks. One time I got pulled over on my bike. Asshole didn't even give me time to pull my helmet off, came up to me and shined his flashlight right in my eyes. "where are you heading so fast!? Where are you coming from?" Like I was a criminal. Then he lied and said I was going faster than I was. IMO half the time they have nothing better to do.

Isnt it YOUR responsibility to make sure YOUR weed is safe and out of the hands of those that arent legally allowed to possess YOUR medicine?

And the cop let you take the car and leave without a ticket or impounding the car? or confiscating your weed?

I think you need to thank that cop for not doing his job and impounding your car, your weed, arresting your friend driving your car with your weed and thank him for not turning you in and having your medical marijuana card revoked.


But thats just my opinion from a responsible patient and caregiver.

This should not be happening in California.

I can legally carry Marijuana in my car.

Starting January 1st. less than an ounce will be and infraction (no arrest, no court, no enforcement).

People need to stand up for their rights! I think that if you have a problem officer in your area, you should document the incidents and report them. It's amazing that all the cops in that group will act differently after it has been addressed by the Boss.

You should get to know you councilmen. If you live in L.A. you should meet and greet your elected officials. They have assistants that take care of this kind of shit. They can move the earth for you.

So if you live in California, have a Medical Recommendation and are harassed or intimidated by cops, follow through. The neck you save may not be your own, but an unknown friend.

Ca. or Mi its the same be responsible for your medicine and nothing bad will happen stay legal at all times. We have been given a chance to make this MMJ action legal across the board, but irresponsible people will mess it all up.
I can legally carry 2.5 oz with me at all times and in my car wherever, but do I? Nope just asking for trouble.

Actually according to the law it is the DRIVERS responsibility to know what is in the car, even if the car is not theirs. Besides, he has his medical license too, so it should be a moot point. I am very grateful he did not impound my car! I thanked him for that, but the fact that his lecture to me was full of lies is what bothers me...The reason I did not argue with him is because he didn't impound my car...both the driver and I are legally allowed to drive with cannabis in our cars.
