First Grow in Flowering, Querkle with Pics

Hi everyone, I'm new here to rollitup figured I would show off my first grow. I chose Subcool's Querkle and I'm glad I did! :leaf: they look very healthy and sturdy but I really don't know much about growing. They're currently in 3rd week of flowering, took these pics last week. I'm using a 400 watt hps have 5 females goin, fox farms ocean blend in a 6 foot box covered in black/white poly. Here are some close ups.

I also haven't given any nutes, I have a bottle of Tiger Bloom and a bottle of Bud Candy, but hesitant to give them any, any suggestions on that?

cool gunna sub, wanna see how this turns out, currently i have 1 wappa plant growing its 11 days into 12/12

I'm also in a basement in a cold area so during the night cycle they do get pretty cold, the room is about 65 but even I feel cold down here so I'm considering getting a space heater, would that be a good idea?

Ok great, thanks webb. Any one else have any input? I'm surprised these babies look so healthy, but for the strain specifically, when does it turn purple? Or do only certain phenotypes turn purple?

Posting more pics tomorrow for anyone who wants to check em out, can't believe how much they jumped up in one week!

Looking good cakes. Mine started to purple at about week 6-7, but the temps were still pretty high. I think that letting these go for 9-10 weeks would be a good idea. Also, watch for Hermies. My whole crop of querkles got seeded because 2 of 7 turned hermie at around week 3-4. Have you taken cuttings of these?
Also, with the nutes, start out at around 1/4 strength and see what the plants do. The worst thing you could do would be to add too much nutes.

Good work and Good luck:weed:

What do you have them sitting on? Keep them up off the floor for sure, this will keep the roots warmer at least. Concrete floors don't feel cold to the touch always, but they sap heat from stuff.

Thanks tex, I think one of them is turning hermie but not sure, will post a picture soon. I use a buddy's camera so its whenever I see him. and hate to sound like a noob but what do you mean by cuttings? I topped the plants once in veg but that was all. Transplanted the rest of the girls into 6 gallons(they were CRAZY rootbound) and added 1/4 strength of nutes (bud candy) in my water tonight so hopefully they respond nicely. Can't wait for that purple:leaf:

hard to explain, it's just a big wooden box, the plants are all double potted to keep them a bit elevated and the pots sit on a wood floor.

Cuttings are just another word for clones. I just wondered if you were going to make this a perpetual grow. I took cuttings from my querkle, but they dried out and died because the humidity dome I had was a piece of shit. The biggest one of my plants (yielded over 3 Os) was defiantly a keeper. There was also a plant that smelled like lemony diesel and had awesome resin production. I regret not having saved the clones.
Anyway, can't wait for more pictures:bigjoint:

Oh alright, yeah I actually have one clone going I'm not sure how healthy it is, just have it sitting there flowering with the big girls. I'll take a picture of that, too. The main reason for my grow is having family members with cancer, so I'm really trying to look into how much the yield will be but I have no experience to make a prediction. Can anyone take a guess this early? I have 5 of them, all about 3 and a half-4 feet tall. Thanks everyone for responses!

Buds are looking great for the beginning of the fourth week. What strength have you been feeding at? Also, what is your feeding schedule like, and how often do you water?
